tomei sells 2.2 and 2.4l kits. approx $1500 from nengun. obviously this is no where near the kind of cost your looking at for it to be a complete running motor.

if theres nothing wrong with your current motor, throw on a "GOOD" quality oil cooler, rad etc etc and keep safe boost levels.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it till you have too....

$2k easily turns into $10K plus by the time your done....

Other options.... through a RB25 in and come to the dark side :)

you need to look at NUMB3RS (like the show) to work this out..

eg.

Roy = 260rwkw ($600rb20fromwreckers+TD06-20Gkit) x 20psi + (Fuel/tuningtime)

if you apply this formula, you'll see that a forged rebuild of rb20 is not required.

see vid in sig

those are your bulk problems?

spark plugs, coil packs, loose exhaust/manifold studs/bolts

Under $500 to fix all those.

and that includes buying new coil packs, spark plugs and gasket kit and studs/nuts/bolts

spark plugs, dime a dozen,

coils, get a vt commodore coil pack

4 lengths of 12 gauge auto electrical wire

6 desent length ignition leads and six female spade connectors,

and then read the wasted spark thread on SAU forums.

as for the broken studs, a cordless drill and a screw extractor set,

and as for the manifold get it refaced or just buy an aftermarket one,

pull yer thermostat out, put in a descent radiator, give it a flush,

oil change and i think you will find its a whole new world of smoothness.

and by the sounds of it invest in some king springs and get rid of the choppies

yer i got whitelines all round.. its a aftermarket high mount manifold... it hit the speedbump then that ticking noise then the noise just went away... weird i dnt get it.. now the car is running like a piece of shit.. its has a microtech lt10 in it and it only got tuned the day before i done it?? i pulled all the coil packs and plugs out put new plugs in and the coil packs r all firing.. so it will be the manifold?
