Hi Everyone

We're conducting a High Performance Training and Track Driving Day at Sandown on Friday 20th June 2008.

We will be running the day as an 'open pit lane' day, but we will also have 4 qualified (Certificate 3 and 4) instructors with lots of experience.

We also provide lunches, tea / coffee / soft drinks, flag marshals and medical / rescue crew.

You do not need a CAMS or ASSA licence to participate in our High Performance Training and Track Driving Days

The format we run to is: 3 groups of 15 drivers, twenty minutes of track time per hour.

Start time is 8.30 am for safety briefing, track is open from 9.00 am until 4.00pm

Cost is only $245.00 per driver.

If you would like to come along please give us a call on 1300 652 693

Kind Regards

Kev

Driver Dynamics Sandown Trackday Friday 20th June, I feel a long weekend coming on.....
We're conducting a High Performance Training and Track Driving Day at Sandown on Friday 20th June 2008.

I'd say read the thread before posting, but at least read the heading.

Whats required on this day in terms of helmet, obviously, fire extinguisher, bonnet pins etc?

J,

you need helmet, clothing that covers your whole body, decent shoes (not like boots and stuff), and a car that doesnt leak fluids and one that has good brakes - sandown is a heavy braking circuit, so you need to make sure that brakes are a1. Probably best to take the car for a service a few days before to change brake pads, oil all that - took mine to revzone in ringwood and told them to put the good stuff in.....and the car lasted the whole day. Then check the car by driving it around, check underneath that nothign is lose, and check that all is in working order.

Possibly good tyres as well - can get a bit scary in the wet (but a lot of fun - just go with the instructor for a few laps). Also make sure there is nothing lying around that will fly around in your cabin (eg paper, bottles etc).

Fire extinguisher is not needed, but can come in handy if anything does go wrong.

The point of the day is to learn how to manouver your car aorund the track, get to know the car, and just enjoy - not to actually race

When's the closeing date,

I would love to do it good price as well. Just need try get the day off work and get one of my mates to drive my car down. Dont want to get done on the way for high power vechile.

    • Hello. I have an a31 cefiro but since I am in Turkey we have a CA20S engine. I did some research. Then I found that I can swap with a ca18 but when I heard that it has the similar substructure as the s13. I thought I can swap with an sr20 because the sr20 was used with the s13. So can I easily swap the sr20 on my cefiro or is it difficult?

    • Hey mate, I know this is an older post but just in case you're still looking or someone else stumbles across this thread in a similar situation, I’d recommend checking out P&S Logistics. They operate routes from the Gold Coast to Adelaide, and they’re pretty flexible with dates. I’ve found them to be reliable and professional, which is what you want when you're dealing with something as valuable as a GTR. https://pslogistics.com.au  (P&S Logistics Website) You can get quote online through website. Hope that helps someone out!
