Ok so the boys at kamakaze have finished with my car done compliance and RWC needed only a couple of bushes for RWC waiting for compliance plate to come from DOTARS which should be tuesday wednesday the latest then off to vicroads i go the wait has been killing me.

Ok so here is what it has cost me for anyone thinking of doind the same thing

$8600 FOB-car itself from japan

$4200 approx for shipping, quarantine and all duties

$4020 for compliance,transport RWC and Fix things for RWC.

$200 in phone calls to find out the latest LOL(jokes)

$960 Vicroads registered and brand new plates YAY

Total $17780

I am using the jap tyres that came with it as they were near new Nankangs give you full details when im looking at it my driveway as well as a crap load of photo's.

For anyone else embarking on their first import journey take my advice if your impatient like me buy local as no amount of phone calls to quarantine the agents or compliancers will get your to you any faster.

DITCH THE NANKANGS

mine nearly killed me in the wet. i now have bridgestone RE001's and highly reccomend them.
