Yeah last night fuel was about 6c/ltr cheaper in yeppoon than it was in rocky.

Did a lap around yeppoon last night, saw nothing, and on my way home did a "lap" around the circut in rocky and there was nothing too....... meh I'm not really into the lapping thing anyway :domokun:

its actually cheaper up here for ultimate, as i found out driving back on tuesday ....

33SOM are there many imports or skylines in bilo?

There a fair few for the size of the place.. But no cruises etc lol

Id go to rocky for a cruise one day but the roads a lil... umm not good..

Yeah I thought I'd raise my stagea before I got here, thank god I did, but now am seriously thinking of raising it futher, other than the main roads here in rocky, all of them suck dogs balls and are rougher than being a prodistant and walking into a catholic pub in northern ireland!

I lived on a farm near Emerald for many years and went to highschool there, left in 2003... own a black R34 GTT which was up there around easter... it's still ford/holden/shitbox 4cyl central... didn't see any nice imports, just a beat-up r32 and rough-sounding 180 spring to mind. Almost lost the license floating at 150 out the back of Rolleston, slowed for a rise and passed a copper at a tick under 120 :|

Oh, and in regards to the first few pages (from many moons ago) I too remember the chameleon piles of shit - forgotten the smash repairs guy who had the gold rodeo and chenara's vs commodore... reminds me of the quality of the lapping scene

Yeah i didn't think it was that bad, only some of the ghetto streets are that bad. Actually i was shocked hopw bad the M1 is in places when i was in brisbane last week. The Road from Yeppoon to Rocky is much better.

Yeah it is a nice road, wonder when they will make it split all the way?

About the rough roads in rocky, I find that anything but the highway or Yamba/Musgrave/Queen Elizabeth/Fitzroy street is just shat, bumpy, uneven, potholes, and just generally crap to drive on, guess it might be the stiff setup on the stag, but yeah I dont go the "back" way round town, even if it was shorter, it ends up being longer because I have to slow down ~40kph to feel safe.....

Eventually they play dot to dot with yeppoon road and join all the over taking lanes. Their always extending and adding new passing lanes and overtaking lanes.

yeah true about rocky i guess, I drive a work car most of the time so maybe i don't notice it as much. Glenmore road is horrible (i assume thats the back road our refering too).

Yeah Farm Rd sucks dogs balls too!!

Soon I'll be putting 15" rims, so having a tyre that actually has a bit of tyrewall should cushin the bumps a bit, but still going to raise it a bit more, maybe another inch or so, and change the dampening to soften the ride, turn it back into a boat :D

    • I have two German Shepherds that like to bite things that are in places they shouldn't be. Plus the cars/batteries on chargers are inside a locked garage, inside that fully fenced and locked yard. If you can get the car out, you can have it, as I'll be having one hell of a laugh at your expense.
    • Looks like they changed the wording in the manual for the new model. I have a different model. Mine is CC1206. Not CC1206-XLI. Mine doesn't support lithium at all. I can't find the manual for my model online and they don't list the model on the Century website anymore either. In my manual it says what I quoted and that they recommend to not leave it on 🤷‍♂️ Sounds like you'd be fine with this one now.
    • Thanks for actually answering every single point! I noticed the date only after posting. And yes, looks like things have changed a little bit since then. FWIW, looks like Government Gazette No 253 has the current emissions test procedure. Sounds pretty reasonable altogether. One thing I learned from this is that it's possible to check whether a catalyst does any work by measuring the temperature. Catalyst outlet temp is at least 40°C higher than inlet temps if there is a reaction happening. I'd be curious to check this on mine but don't have a thermometer. Because purely going by smell it can't be doing much. Personally I'd be okay to pay for the test as long as it's within reason. My main concern would be to lose my rego because it definitely wouldn't pass the test in its current state. I'll see if I can do a bit more digging and see what's involved in doing this nowadays.   To be fair I don't think it's stopping many people from doing the modifications anyway. It just puts a barrier up to doing things right
    • Uhhh if anyone sees this - I bought a BRZ years ago, on my fulls soon so back on the market for the R34!
