You can get away with auto ECU but ignition needs to be re-wire to bypass auto gearbox's neutral safety switch. In R32 the gearshift indicators seems to be on the dash not on the speedo cluster so you can keep your speedo, just cover the gear indicators with a plastic piece :D. Changing to manual ECU would be better cause fuel map could be different, who knows.

Dunno about gearbox but should fit, if GTS4 were available in both auto & manual.

Does anyone know for sure if there is a difference between the auto and 5spd ECU's? I am taking a RB25det from a automatic R33 GTS-t and putting it in my s14 and I am trying to figure out if there is going to be a problem using the auto ECU also. Some people have said that on the SR and KA engines there is not a difference, so I assume that the same goes for the RB series motors.

Also, has anyone on the forum completed the auto to 5spd swap? I need wiring assistance, need to know how it wires up.

so when changing from the auto to manual what things are needed to do it.... gearbox ( are the gearbox mounts different? ), clutch pedal ( is the clutch cable or hydrolic? ) clutch master cylinder? what else?
