I haven't damaged a front bar at the track yet  *touches wood* Is your car lower then standard?

As a precuation I would take the white one down instead of your nice black one..

I don't think it would really matter but it's going to get dirty if so.

So everyone ignores my misspelling of bar... :P

My car is as standard as standard comes except for my rims which are 17", but with the tyres on there I think it would probably only a fly shit of difference. However, there is some merit in taking the already damaged one... I can smash it good and proper now!

A more serious question this time...

The rims that used to be on the back of my car still have rubber on them. Except they are down pretty much to the wear indicators, maybe a tiny but on the outside of the tyre. In the CAMS book it says something along the lines of "localised wear along the inside of the tyre" is acceptable, but I think these are a little past that point. Would these be allowed or will I have to find another place to burn the last of the rubber off legally :P ? Doesn't really matter if it doesn't, the tyres under my car at the moment will pass fine unless something bad happens *knocks wood*

I'm fine if you want to use them up. I have no problems with it.

Hey I got another newbie question...

I was planning on bringing down some tools and a jack and stands just in case...My jack is a steel 2.5 tonne beast though and weighs a tonne...is anyone else bringing that sort of gear down?? I am happy to be self sufficient but then again dont wnat to bring a tonne of gear down only to find I didn't need to...

Btw I have a Consult interface and laptop if anybody else with stock ECU needs it...

Also where do we put tools and all the stuff we remove from the car....

Not that many people bring decent jacks these days. If you think you are going to need them take them down. If anyone asks to borrow them. Just remember who has them. I've had mine lost before.

Tools and other items are just left in the garages. They will be fine there.

Most days there are people there with various tools, but if your likely to need something i would bring it myslef. You never know, this could be the one trackday that everybody decides not to bring anything :D

As for where you put them, I've always just left everything in the pit space where the car sits while it's not on the track. Never had a problem with things going missing, and seeing as we're all in different groups there is always people in the pit area.

And just bring a tarp or a sheet to cover ya stuff, its all good mate :D

Oh, and bring a chair

I always make the mistake of not bringing a fold out chair....and have to sit on my tyres lol

another question do you take the back seats out before you go or do you take them out when your there, and if you do take the seats out, have you been pulled over by the cops and had any dramas.

Dont bother, just add boost

How much is the garage to hire, and if you don't have one where do you get your car ready when your there?

the open garages are free. There will be enough for everyone maybe 2+ :P
