Ok, well i just took apart most of my boot lining to find the cover to the fuel pump. I pulled it of and it looks fair confusing for a person like me.

Anyone willing to help me install and look out for this "sludge" everyone keeps on talking about? Plus, if there were signs of this sludge, would i have to

replace my fuel lines and fuel filters??

I'd say the sludge would most definitely be related to a bad batch of fuel as I've owned my R32 since 2001 and recently dropped an 044 intank. The tank was 100% clean an the cars now done a little over 260,000km's in total.

I've only ever ran BP with the occasional tank of Mobil and recently Shell as its only 10c more compared to BP of which seems to charge 13c more

044 intank Joel nice work.

you planning on making some more power soon or just a preventitive measure?

Ahh the 044 was fitted quite some time ago.. When I first mentioned I was having troubles as you may remember

I think 6 odd months ago? Cars done hardly any km's since then as I bus it in to work these days. Only driving it does is on the weekends so I can justify a bit of a lumpy idle and bad fuel economy.

The cams are ever so slightly larger than what your currently running.

Are you still thinking about WMI? I wouldn't mind getting a kit on before the next dyno day of which should be a reasonable turn out with some decent cars. Would be nice to crack 1rwkw more than what you did last dyno day.

You really dont want to push too much more than 260rwkw out of a walbro.

Dangerman 4 will justify this and if you are aiming for more then you will want to look at an 044 which will safely push over 300 rwkw.

Ok. Well after nervously looking at the instructions on how to install the fuel pump tonight, i decided to do it. Yes it was easy to install and yes you do smell like petrol after.

Infact after a while with the petrol tank lid open, the missus told me i was speaking real fast lol XD but yeah i got a headache after a while...

I took her for a spin and yes it does run good now =) Even better then before.

Ps. I pulled out my old fuel pump to find it was a Bosch unit. How do i tell what model it is... It has a serial number of some kind which ends in 040... and also has a speed flow fitting.

Thanks Madaz. To be honest that was my first time installing anything on a car of that magnitude. I thought it was brave of me to throw my hands into the tank of petrol lol! But

it was worth it. I also found out that i have a GTR fuel tank... which was random.
