Hey guys,

1st I noticed a flat tire while I was at work some time last week, so after work I drove to BP (which is right next to work) & filled it up (only had 6psi left, filled it to 36psi, other 3 tires were at ~32psi), the next day I check the pressure it went down to 30psi so I filled it up again to 36psi.

Over these couple of days I have being monitoring the tire pressure, & it seems the leak doesn't seem to be consistant, sometimes if I fill up to 36psi & leave it for 5 - 6hrs (work) & comes back, it would be down to 28 - 30psi, but othertimes it doesn't seem to drop much (to about 32 - 34psi) or it doesn't seem to drop at all (36 to 35).

Can someone explain the physiscs of this? & if the leak is minor (which I assume it is) is there a way to just fix the tire up (like what you do with a bicycle tire?) instead of replacing it, as I'm kinda broke atm since I just spend $1.9k on a laptop.

Also I didn't notice any damage on the leaking tire.

Thanks.

Soap + water + spray bottle = leak source.

Id assume, depending on the position of the tire when parked, and the varying amounts of tire load from varying different ways of driving, is giving you the .... varied leak patterns.

It was $20 from most places to fix a leak, but i heard recently repairs have been banned; find yourself a nice dodgey tire guy

Thanks for that info GeeTR :P

Will do :D , I'll get my mum on to it, she is an expert when it comes to finding all kinds of "cheap" stuff & services

If I do have to get a new tire, is it ok to just replace one? I think I read it b4 that cops will give you a yellow if your tires aren't the "same"?

Then again, if they want to, they can probably give you a yellow for anything...

I took the car to my local mech guy & he found a screw stuck on the tire :O.

Had no idea how the hell it even got there... :D

While I was there I also got him to changed my broken park light, & it costed $27.5 all up. Was a lot cheaper than I thought :O

Thanks for all your help & suggestions guys.
