hangon, forgive my ingorance here, but how does one simply add VVT to an RB26 head? i've heard of the HKS VCON, (or whatever it is called) and the NEOs have VVT but not the 26 heads, or have i TOTALLY miussed something?

cheers

I did not see a How to on this =(

but what about the tuning part?

No, you would need to keep the 26 head or nothing would fit. Just retrofit the advance mechanism to the cam and make it work.

HKS have a kit to retrofit the VQ35 constantly variable gear to the front of the 26 cam, with tuning solutions. Otherwise the Haltech/link etc can be programmed if you have a good tuner.

RB25 VCT would be easier to retrofit, but a 'how to' is a while away. :P Unless you want to fit it yourself and take pics?

I dont have the facility to do it here. All of my tools is in California >_<

nor do i have the knowledge to do it >_< . not sure what to swipity swap n all that jazz.

RB25 NEO?

im noob to this >_<

serious question.. what do you think would yeild better response on a rb26 with -5s.

1) Carbon driveshaft

2) Upgrade -5s to gtx2860 wheel ??

Pretty much done everything else I could done as far as supporting mod. I could potentielly go with raw brokerage pte 6266 turbo kit but heck thats some massive work..

Carbon driveshaft won't do much for how the turbos will respond. You notice the throttle response improve a bit.

You want response, 6262 would be your pick, not a 6266.

I don't think so, I still think the correct cams dialed in properly with the right turbo-cam combo will give good enough results to not warrant the money for VCT, find away to add the lift and duration change aswell as timing and then that would be worth the $1K US their asking

Just my 2c

I think you mean 6k not 1k and thats just for step 1, step 2 and step pro need different pistons plus the step 2 and step pro kits are a bit more expensive to being with.

Cheap upgrade considering the gains and what is in the kit.
