and LMGT4s with rubber costs more than buying the koya's brand new with brand new rubber

that might have something to do with the koyas being cheap chinese cast copies and LMGT4's being a high end forged lightweight racing wheel. you get what u pay for, i just couldnt imagine paying $2000 or what ever it is for a set of cheap wheels with cheap tyres, when there are decent brand name lightweight wheels over in Japan selling for less than $1000 brand new.

More pics of Drift Tek or Race Tek's please :geek:

Koya isn't as bad a brand as you people seem to think.. they're not csa or speedy ^^

I've been trying to find a gtr or even a gts-t in silver/gunmetal with either the drift teks or race teks on it for quite a while so i can decide

I get them hella cheap because of the company i work with... has anyone got a side-on pic of a GTR with an 18" rim on it? I want 18's because then it won't ride as hard and i won't have to be so worried about curbing them but am worried they'll be to small (that and i already have 4 255/35r18 gsd-3's waiting to go on something)

my advice would be to buy URAS NS-01's, ive had a set and tbh they are nothing special either (sorry URAS) but at least they are Jap, so you know they have passed JWL etc standards. Just Jap sell them for about what drift teks are anyway, at least then u dont have to call ur wheels drift teks lol

much difference between BeeR B5 and Uras Ns-01?

yes, spoke design is more aggressive and the angle of the spokes responds to changes in offset/width unlike the URAS's i believe. overall a more agressive wheel with a better range of sizes/offsets etc. not 100% about the quality of them as ive never seen the weight of the the B5's, but id imagine they would be better quality as well.

Yeah I notice that the beeR have a much more sunken design. Whereas my uras are quite pitiful. I bought them in +15 offset thinking they'd be crazy sunken, but instead they're all the same, just the depth of the barrel between the face and the plate that meets the rotor changes.... Wasn't too thrilled about that... but oh well... Better than Driftieks... And only picked em up for $650 delivered

i dnt want either lol

besides iv just ordered a set of Bee r rims straight from Japan. :)

shud be here in a week and a half

Love to know where you're getting them from..... They've been discontinued for 6 months or so now......

Ive looked everywhere for them.... unl;ess you're getting 2nd hand or leftover stock someone had stashed away somewhere.

    • I have to put something here in order to post the photos. From what I could gather there's more enthusiasm for modified cars now than there has been for years. There were probably more younger people there than older (me included lol) which was a good sign.  It did seem like the record least amount of representation of the 90's era hero cars on display though. Like maybe one or two examples of S-chassis Nissans, and maybe 3 or 4 R-chassis. By comparison there were a lot of Civics from that era but in all there were about 10 - 12 EG/EK Civic Type R.  Euro exotics are always there in large numbers, led by Liberty Walk...... say what you will about kids using markers to scribble on a Ferrari F40, it did seem like a stunt to infuriate Ferrari enthusiasts, or Ferrari itself. I wonder if there's something more to it. Either way LBWK have done some heinous things to a Lamborghini Miura this time. They should stop now.
    • Engines and drivelines are not war stoppers for me mate, busted arse bodies and un-obtainium parts and panels are though Both cheap Brumbies I looked at had trashed tubs and a fair bit of rust
    • Stock O2 sensors are narrowband. They're useless once you're away from stoich. IE, useless for what you're trying to do. 10:1 will read the same as 14:1 from the stock O2 sensors. That is, they'll read rich. The same level of rich.
    • I agree once misfires happen it's basically worthless, but the hope is you can see what's happening in the run up to that.
    • You should totally get a Brumby, and then come pick up the Subaru Liberty GTB I have here. EJ25 Turbo, 6 speed manual from the sti (just no dccd), and the good rear diff. Drop all that into a Brumby and go have fun!
