Well looks like im up for a new clutch on my R33 but really not sure on which one to get. Im only aiming for around 200rwkw and would be nice to get one that isnt super heavy. I was wondering what the differences are in the clutches and which would be better. Im not sure what it means by Organic, 5 Puk Button and Cushion button?

Heavy Duty Organic clutch kit (240rwkw), $335

Heavy Duty 5 Puk Button clutch kit (300rwkw) , $439

Heavy Duty Cushion Button clutch kit (260rwkw) , $445

Any help would be Great!

Thanks!!

Hey Matt,

The organic is still a full faced clutch but is just a different make up/material and a more heavy load presure plate.

The 5 puck looks like a star and it does grab very quickly and is not so good in traffic for long periods of time as it is pretty heavy due to the pressure plate it has.

And the cusioned is a full face but with cushioning tabs on it, but wond be too much fdifferent to drive with as oposed to the organic, but you will definalty know the difference from stock, i think every body stalls when they first get in there car with a new clutch, i did lol

I have a cushioned button clutch and it has very good pedel feel and is smooth to operate, but in saying that the cluth is only has to be about half of the standard in terms of travel to be fully out, and also grabs a lot hard than standard but overall i am very happy with it and is nice to drive with and is quite accepable to drive in traffic also, but does make the car feel like you getting your power down, i had the standard clutch and it was starting to slip so thats why, but it lasted from factory so that pretty good :teehee:

Hope this helps, By the way if you are positive 200 rwkw the organic will be fine but be sure first as you dont want

to change it later , if seeking more power.
