Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has relocated their Power steering reservoir in the engine bay on a R32 GTR.

Basically i installed a big single turbo and the pipe that joins to the intercooler piping fouls with the P/S tank.

Theres not much room for me to relocate it as the Tank itself is quite tall and fouls with my bonnet.

The only place i can see that is suitable is where my charcoal canister is but then i need to find a place for that to go.

So my question is. Where can i move the P/S tank to?

Can i cut the tank down in size and reweld it?

Can i get a tank custom made out of aluminium?

ANy help would be appreciated thanks

yes...custom tank out of ally can be made. Ive mounted mine on the radiator support panel just behind the passenger headlight.

Is there any criteria you need to meet when fabricating?

As in do you need to meet a certain capacity (litres) etc, and or design it in any special way with chambers etc.

Have you got a pic of where yours is mounted?

Thanks heaps.

there are some pre made aftermarket ones available - Felixity69 in the rb30 subforum used one.

i have seen customs made up, i would just baffle it to ensure that the feed to the pump is always covered in fluid, or you'll get major bleeding issues.
