I had a Power Enterprise pod before my 3L conversion, very loud 12months of use and was nothing inside. Was in a UAS cold air box with a CAI Now running an Apexi pod with a hard intake pipe, cant complain with either.

The most important thing is they are set up properly away from heat and dust. The performance differences between brands would be negligable.

I had a KnN wet oil pod setup but changed it to HKS

I had the green HKS pods with hard pipes for a while and they were OK.

But I have now changed to simota urathae pods. They are a dry type pod that is molded from a single piece.

they work great. Just wash them in soapy water every 6 months and put them back in. They are much bigger then the HKS ones so more surface area for the air to be drawn in from.

can someone tell me or better still show me how a cold air intake is installed on a GTR from the bumper?

I know that the stock setup has a snorkle running into it that intakes air from above the radiator and funnels it into the stock airbox. I am wondering if you can retain the stock snorkle and instead of it going into your stock airbox, you have it plumbed through the partition that separates your pods from the rest of your engine bay. Would this work or do you need to have a full custom snorkle running from under the bumper somewhere and up and if so, can you buy these pore fabed?

I used that pod on my Integra Type R, and it was located inside the bumper. SO got the full brunt of dirt water and dust. Brilliant pod!

Am on Apex'i now. Cant be happier. Its a cute little thing tho, compared to some of the other monsters.

Im going to clean mine this week, but not with water, probly with the compressor from the inside out. Unless someone thinks this is a bad idea.

Good find with that Autosalon article, remember reading that ages ago and was amazed by that 3A racing filter.

yer these are very good cos there is no oil on them and all oiled filters can be bad for the afm,i rate them high
