Hey all,

Well im rather curious to how much everyones car gets used, i know there are people here that drive their line everyday, some drive it a few times a week, some only on the weekends, then the showcars that get bought out for a special occasion, some with daily shitters..

With my crazy work hours recently (330am -1130am) ive found that more frequently im driving my car less and less, its gone from being driven a few times a week to one day a week pretty much. The motorbike is my main form of transport to and from work and normally ill do 100-200kms with 8-12 other bikes on sunday... Ive done 10,000kms on the bike since August last year..

The Audi only gets bought out on saturday pretty much, for errands, or occasionally a fri/sat night drive if im being responsible and not drinking... Otherwise it sits in the carport, getting washed and loved every few weeks, slumbering away and not using fuel (which is a bonus with current fuel prices)... I think ive clocked a measly 7000kms since i bought it around august last year too.. but as it was a new purchase the first few weeks were very high km weeks, trips to bathurst, nelson bay, gong, old pac, Wollombi, anywhere and everywhere...

It almost tempts me to get something totally impractical, like a chev drop top, some stupidly excessive V8, a small 2 seater rocket, or a collectable.. I dont think it will happen in the near future but its tempting..

I feel sorry for the people that drive their car daily and these fuel prices are really affecting them, i paid $20 to fill the motorbike yesterday... 95oct @ 1.70L... I remember the days when you could get 20L of premium for $20! When $1.10L was expensive!

So your car, every day? weekly? monthly? Barely?

Why? 2nd form of transport? Parking at work? No Licence? Driven Everywhere? Work Usage? Multiple Cars?

Thanks

Haysey

what about the days when it was 85c a litre? those were the days, fill up for 40 bucks and get 60L, id be cheering now if it was still like that cause as it is i go thru roughly $150 worth of fuel a week. that will soon change tho, just got a new job at baulkham hills and will be moving in with a mate at castle hill so its a 5 minute drive to work, cant wait, will be so much cheaper

oh and to answer your question, i drive my line everyday to and from work, i bought it in july last year with 120,000k's on it, it now has just over 150,000k's, and i barely drove it the first 6 months of owning it as i still had my integra, in 2 years i think i put almost 100,000k's on that thing. i do a lot of driving lol

wow, i remember when petrol was 40 cents per litre and people were furious at that amount.

my skyline when its not in the shop getting something done (been gone for 8 weeks now) usually gets driven on the weekend

Well I've put 55,000 km on mine in 4.5 years so that's about 12,000 km a year average I think but that's still 235km a week according to my calculator. There's no doubt though that the last couple of years have only had about 5,000 each done in them which is about 100km a week.

I think I do about 20,000 km a year on the bike although not at the moment...

My 33 is my only car, so it gets driven every day to and from work. I bought it with just under 120,000kms just over two years ago and it's now sitting at almost 180,000.

Go through a tank a week, around the 550kms and costs about $90-$100/week in fuel.

33 is a weekend trackie

31 is daily

323 family car

mind you both 31 and 33 are off the road so 323 is daily and trackie :(

the 323 is the best track car there anyway! :O

I have done 1000 km's since October 2007 - Does that count as 'Barely Driven' ?

Was all that on the HPI photoshoot? :D although I bet you Steve-0s GTR has done less...

I haven't driven mine since Saturday after the defects were cleared... When the car is in good sorts it reverts to my daily, but when it's not, it barely even gets driven on the weekends... stays in the garage collectiing dust...

I have added 20000ks to it in over 3 years of ownership I think... I dunno, it's been a while since I looked at the odometer...

Not to mention I filled up my other car on... honestly... I don't remember... I think it was last Monday when the defects screwed with the lines rego... and it's driven daily... and I still have like a quarter of a tank... Driving the line just seems econimcally stupid now :(

thats a crazy lookin micra

Hi there :D

Great little thing ! - picked it up in 2005 for $1,900 threw some gti-r rims shocks/springs/sway bars/extractors/2in exhaust/high flow cat/custom air in take/uk dash with tacho !!

Too much fun in the traffic - just nuts !!!

F ' all to fill up and lasts & lasts :)

Would like to go a Pulsar Q 1600 in it when she finally blows !

Cheers malcolm :)
