Ok the indicators are on, easier than I thought and the suction cup wasn't really necessary. You just gotta wrap a bit of cloth around the tip of a flathead screwdriver and pop it up (a mm or 2) from the radiator side towards the wheel side, on each side - like you said.

Once you hear that first loud and scary cracking/popping sound, which as it turns out is normal since it's been sitting there 10 years ... it removes easily with fingers.

At first I put the front indicators wrong sides each .. they fit but didn't sit completely flush despite all my pushing and shoving. Then i realized I had the R hand side one on the left and L hand side one on the right. When i changed them around, they popped right in and sit completely flush without issues.

I'll take a piccie when I get my new black plates later this week for those interested. I reckon it looks friggin awesome :P Thanks for everyone's help, esp. Terry!

It'll be great to drive; great to look at; great to sleep in; or maybe not that great.

Cheers

. the way I've been blowing money on the car since I got it and the way rents are going, my next mod might need to be a full size bed-seat lol :P

Doski, get clear ones for the sides!

I had clear ones on the sides, i removed them and put the smoked on there instead, i really like the smoked look

now i got a set of clear for sale i guess.

Oooo clear side indicators for sale you say!

Im interested....

How much you want? My first offer, 5 litres of petrol ;)

If you hold onto the petrol for a year it'll be worth 10 times what is it now... good investment

but on a serious note, pm me with how much your after :(

I reckon the clear fronts look great due to your fmic and piping being silver/chrome. I bought some AA batteries for my camera to take some pics of my smoked fronts but the camera is farked it seems .. when in shooting mode there's noise all over the screen :D Sorry mate .. I'll see if I can borrow a mates' camera.

Does anyone have any pics of a white r33 with the smoked side indicators. "i have black rims with the chrome dish/lip". I was bout to buy the clear ones until i stumbbled across this post lol

    • Thanks mate 👍 The car was brought into the UK by a USAF mechanic until he was stationed back to the US, one owner later I bought her back in 2009. Luckily the only corrosion was on the sill seams, so once taken back to metal and treated and sealed all ok, I then undersealed the car myself and check yearly and treat any corrosion which to be honest is zero. She's garaged most of the time and hardly ever driven in the rain, but as you say most are rotten unfortunately, I was lucky in finding her as she was and still is in excellent condition.
    • Stunning car.  Looks amazing!  You're in the UK?  How the hell do you stop your car rotting away beneath you?  British cars are the WORST I've ever seen in regards to rust.  Some of the cars SR Autobody have done are borderbeyond saving.
    • not a date code? or a foundry code?
    • I have up to date pics of the engine build and turbo conversion over on my instagram @skpro_jects if you want to take a deeper look.   Basically the exhaust manifold is straight bolt on and the ports match (they arent any smaller than a 25 or 26 head).    the intake ports are different shape so the 20/25det manifold will bolt up but wont match properly or seal. You will need to port match using the 25det gasket as a stencil. Personally i ran the entire stock 20neo intake setup and have configured the swirl valves and torque valve to work based on my custom parameters to help with off boost response and spool. But this is using a standalone aem v2 ecu. The stock 20det ecu wont be able to control them.
    • Hi. a little later but if the topic is here. So...the exhaust is the same and you can use 25/Turbo or any aftermarket? What about intake side? Is it too "plug n play" or? (i do not remember for 100% but i think that one intake to head gasket was little bit different than on the RB25 - i bought gasket kit way back) I know that even if it "plug" those butterfly swirls would cause ECU to be confused or?   Just asking for the info 🙂 and of course the RB25 things are easier to come by
