Hey guys,

Well, almost two months ago I blew my hi-flow turbo - so havent driven the car for quite some time until today where Mitch (mr moo - cheers dude!) dropped me out at Unigroup to get my car...

End result is 254.2rwkw (previous was 235 which didnt feel like that!!) and the responce is awesome!

So now its time to hit the track and lower those times!!

Oh yeah, Its a GT-RS turbo kit which sounds A W E S O M E hahah

So hopefully now (with alot more training) I'll be able to get some lower lap times! w0000t

Cheers,

Chris!

Congrats on getting the car back on the road!! Im sure it sounds insane with that turbo :)

Now time to beat 1.13 (my car is practically stock-stock turbo, suspension, rims) heheheheh... but im sure you have already beaten that time lol..

What times have you run before at wakefield?

Edit: Noticed you got stockies on in the pic. How do you find it at the track.

I was there in march with stockies and brand new rubbers on the back (non-directional rubbers i think) and they tramplined like crazy!! i so didnt feel safe. Even driving on normal roads.

I practically wasted so much money buying new rubbers.. Ended up using my friends rims on the back with alright street rubber..

    • I've replaced the front brakes of my NA to 324 brembos and 350z calipers: i'm going for 225/40-18 up front and 245/35-18 in the back. I have Rays 7.5*19 ET35(225/35) in the front with 5mm spacers otherwise the calipers "lock up/ won't rotate". When i use the calculator i come up with 8*18 ET30 for 225/40...... but not sure i get problems with the calipers. Anyone riding around with 18 inch. that can confirm "that it'll fit"? In the back it's 7.5*9 ET30 (245/30) with the 5mm spacers, but there is no problem with the standard small brakes, so i want to take 8.5*18 ET25 (245/35).
    • Lol.. but then.. always come back to a JDM..
    • Glad to hear. If possible, get your tuner to check air's to make sure everything is still where it should be.
    • The problem with FB/Insta/Reddit etc comments relating to cars is simple. You get to ask a question once, and get one round of replies. For things that can actually be answered in a few lines of text, once, it's fine. After 6 hours, your original question is lost to the void. There are no follow ups, additional questions, anything. No project car is ever such a simple list of questions to ask. You need discussion.
    • Welcome.  Here's what I have noticed about forum vs FB..... FB; seems to be wallet racing, and the same few questions asked over and over. There *may* be some groups that are closer knit, but most have changed for the worse. SAU; unfortunately, no longer in its glory days. But....genuine people with similar interests. Not all about how much you spent and saying you dont have enough power. Sooooooo much knowledge available. Have personally seen people post up about literally topics I made myself, asking on FB like no one has done it before. Most has been done, and most of that is here.   If you ever feel like just general chatting theres the wasteland.  Other interests are also generally covered in other areas of the forum. Hope you enjoy hanging around. We would love to have you.   P.s. nice 32 😀
