Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure its not, but is it legal to paint your number plate? The blue/yellow/white plate doesnt suit the whole "Black, white and all shades in between" look that I'm going for with my car. Would I be able to paint all the blue bits on my plate black?

I know custom plates would be better, but I have NO idea what I want on them! And I really like my rare Albany plate, so I want to keep them.

Cheers,

Rhys

i would be 99% sure modifying your number plates in anyway would be illegal. Due to the following facts

1. Their not technically yours, they are property of the government

2. Altering the readabilty of number plates can lead to fine + sticker

3. Another thing for the cop to pick on you for.

I would just go personal number plates... As for keeping your albany plates.. you can just say you lost one of them... and keep it in your room :)

Damn :(

Thanks for the fast replies guys, I appreciate it.

The XX-##-WA plates are ok, but they are a different shape, and they look wierd when put on a Skyline. So looks like I'll have 2 keep my Albany plates til I can think of some custom ones. My idea of [DEF3CTIV] would just be stupid on this car :P

Cheers guys.

Any ideas on custom plates?
