If a 33GTST is honestly 'too much' for you in the wet when you are driving responsibly then you should hand over your license right now.

The only time i have got a fright from my car is when i'm being silly. Its not the car, is how you drive the thing. END OF STORY

Yeh there is definitely that, but it depends on what kind of road you're on, what kind of suspension you have and what type of tires you have. In the wet, i don't bury my right foot, the car slides on its own alot of the time (not powerslide), and the whole boost thing duznt make it any easier. But thanks for the constructive criticism. :)

Yea i wasnt trying to be a smart ass its just i have a 300kw rwd car and if i want it to go straight it does... If i want it sideways it does...

Even when it was about 250 as a daily driver it was still easy to drive if i wanted it to be :(

Hodl up, i never said that the car was 'too much' for me, just said that the car has a tendency to kick out under no power. Obviously I'm not a pro driver, and mayb its just that my suspension is horrible (don't know what the guy before me has done to it, but it feels weird), but thats just my opinion, and without you ever seeing me drive, you don't have much of a right to say that. Mayb i took this the wrong way, or mayb you did, i don't know, either way, i was just highlighting why my friend crashed so people would stop automatically assuming that he did it whilst hooning. And i tend not to get scared in the car when im being silly since i expect it to happen so I'm ready, i feel its alot worse when you go over an unseen bump while cornering and the car just steps out etc... thats what i don't like about the car, i dont have a problem with controlling it in the wet, its just that you have to be alot more carefull and concentrate alot harder then driving a normal car. I am getting new suspension soon, which will probably fix that. But either way, mayb you are right since I am only 18, and I could do with some more practice.

The point i was trying to make by saying 'driving in the wet is a nightmare' was that at least my car tends to step out a shitload, and i think most drivers (especially young ones), could do with an advanced driving lesson. I would like your opinion on this (im assuming you're older and have probably done something like that before)

Yeh fair enuf, soz i mistook it. I'm starting to think its the tyre/suspension combination, since it used to be fine before, mayb tires just getting worn out. Don't know, my car duznt have all that much power, just got problems with putting it down cuz i havnt touched the suspension since the last owner (im tempted to say the front springs may have been cut:S, either that or he has super lows on front but standard on back, dunno). But jeh abit off track, neways soz for taking it the wrong way, guess i was just pissed off that on skylines australia of all places, people would automatically assume that my friend was hooning around (even though im sure it is a cause of accidents on our roads).

yea that was my cousin who crashed hes a pannel beater and very mature guy never races or anything like that he keeps his car clean and in top condition hardly any power the road conditions were bad that night the road was icy and when boost hit the car went side ways and he could not bring it back the road was so slipery and if anyone here drives a GTS-T they would understand this he is fine tho! which people on this forum dont really seem to be concered with!

as for someone saying something about to many hero's there were none that makes me laugh i saw a couple hero's leaving the go cart place in a red mazda mx-5 who stoped to look and are probebly the people posting most of the comments on this topic at the end of the day this could have happend to anyone of us!

im with him every week cruising out of all the people on the rd i would say he is one of the most responsible drivers i know and he definantly didnt deserve this to happen to him so thank you for all your concerns.

Borko,

Completely unrelated to the topic, but please try to improve your typing. Reading your posts is hard to do. They are filled with spelling and grammar mistakes as well as lacking proper punctuation. It makes it very difficult to read your posts and understand what you're saying. Taking an extra minute can really make a difference and a well structured sentance/post can also give you a lot more credibility.

Yeh i know, old msn habbits

How much of a difference would have AWD vs RWD in a situation like that helped? I've almost spun out in my car on rainy nights even driving pretty sedately, but I haven't driven a RWD Skyline in the wet before. Would the transfer of torque in that situation with all the tires already losing traction actually help much?

lemme tell u it sucks when u have a powerful turbo rwd car in the wet and you wanna get somewhere quickly but not dangerously... skylines can be a bit skittish in the wet ay and it can catch u out easily enough! well i beleive this to be true with most fast r32's... because they are so light n there is nothing to them :D

Spent a month, lots of fuel and a clutch out on the white medal roads near were i used to live. when there dry they are very much the same as wet road.. when wet.... it took alot of practice to get things right... after that never had any issues.

first of all yea i saw you mx-5 or your mates he was asking me what happend and i was just looking at him cuz he had a big smirk on his face that i would have loved to wipe off the way he was talking was cocky and being a smart ass someone just lost 30g's down the drain ppl like that dont really help the situation..

second why does spelling and grama matteR? what the people on this forum are that un-edicated that they cant read spelling mistakes and gramma? not all of us are A+ english students some of us are from different countries and are still perfecting the english language so give us a break!

It's not that i'm expecting everyone to be perfect with their posts. Especially as I know a large portion of the forum users do not use English as a first language. However in Borko's case it was more a matter of lazy typing. As he confirmed himself.

People will make mistakes and it will simply be because they don't know any better, which is fine. It's when people purposely take shortcuts by abbreviating words; or rather just don't bother to punctuate as they type as it saves time. This has been helped along by online chat services and text messaging. But, in a situation like Borko's, he is trying to get a serious point across and just hasn't been bothered to type it out neatly. When you want to be credible with anything you say, say it right. You wouldn't go to an interview in your shorts and thongs for corporate position, as regardless of qualifications or what you say, you would loose your credibility. Same thing applies.
