Police in WRX

Do the WA police use WRX's at all? A few people have said they saw police driving them...

I heard all WA cops have been reduced to the V6 commodores, coz they kept thrashing the V8's... So i doubt they would give them WRX's...

well there was a few in melb a few years ago but havent seen 1 in a while.. also i saw a HSVGTO chaser cop car on chapel st. wtf they had custom plates on it.. "HSVGTO" in a yellow spray

They don't use them in WA - but I think they were trialling them overeast.

On the Gold Coast on the Gold Coast Hwy there are HSV Monaro cop cars... Heaps of them too... In all the colours of the rainbow!!!

Not over here but a few cops drive as there personal road cars.

So people might see them going to work in uniform and draw the wrong assumption.

I heard about this, The WRX's were going to be trialed here, so they decided to thrash a few around, see if they were as tough as they thought, this was suppost to be on the secret but subaru found out about how they were being treated and revoked their warantee. Also their Speedos wern't accurate enough for police use.

This is what I heard, don't know who true it is.

i saw in a magazine that they trialled rx7's and even a dodge viper, but what is the point of trialling a high performance car anyway? its just gonna be too expensive to maintain

the Sultan or King of the state i live in has BMW 3 series police cars that escort him and on special occasions, he's police use Rolls Royce Corniches with flashing sirens etc

provided that the bad guys are racing along the stop-light grand prix and in traffic I'd beleive you.

BUT some badguys go over the speed limit, and some do crazy things like go from 60 to 150 ......
