Can someone tell me the easiest way to remove the old engine fan in order to install a new one? For instance is it necessary to remove the radiator?

Car is an R34 GTT.

Thanks.

Shroud will have to come out together with the fan, radiator stays.

Glad I found this without having to make a new thread.

I have a BNR34 fan for my 32-R. I want to replace the fan without taking too many thing off.

I tried removing the 4 screws and taking off the fan but the little guy refused to come off. Now, I know that I also need to remove the rad shroud but any recommendations on how to remove the clutch fan? It seems to be stuck on the pully really well.

Fan clutch hub and alternator belt pulley are both spigoted on the water pump shaft, some gentle jiggling will have it loose.

Perhaps you've moved it slightly and it's jambed a bit crooked?

Pays to loosen the alternator belt to remove load on the pulley.

I might have jammed it a little but I'm sure it would have straighten out when I tightened 4 screws again. I'll see if I can get it lose today.
