Andrew, you may need to decipher that wiring diagram a bit further for us :D

Last time I looked my car didn't have a helm lol

lol yeh i know what you mean. but honestly its piss easy. but if your still confused, link us to the one you dont get and ill explain it =D

but for now the importent ones you should be looking at are these

MFD_to_GTT11.jpg

it shows you what sensors plug into which side of the MFD (white plug or brown plug) and directs you to the pin number on the ECU. some things run off the dash cluster (oil press/water temp) and some things off the Triple Gauges (boost, Oil Temp) which you look at other diagrams for a better idea.

like i said its all really confusing when you 1st look at it. but ive been studying it for about a few months before i did it because i was waiting for my rebuild to finish. if anyone needs help, wen they get the MFD. and if they are in Melb. id gladely offer a hand. it took me about 2 days to complete. but sicne i know what to do and how to do it. i can pretty much say its a days work (4-7hours) with all the tools ready to go.

ive made a zip file that contains everything you need including diagrams, list of tools and a step by step walkthrough (bit jiberish though since translated from japanese) :(

anyone who needs it just shoot us a PM.

So this works with power fc no issues?

it runs off the ecu, and since the power FC uses the standard ECU loom. yes theres no problems.

nice work. and great upgrade. I love upgrading nissans with parts from other nissans. it's cool. like my 32 GTR has 34 GTR seats, 34 GTR wheels, 34 GTR brembos. my S13 silvia used R33 GTST brakes, R33 5 stud hubs, S14 box, S14 radiator, R33 lower control arms. and all those parts are better than what they replaced, but still standard nissan gear.

A long time ago I saw an R32 GTR with the R34 MFD in it and thought it was a great idea. since it just fits into the factory dash makes it even more attractive to do in a 34 GTT.

Fantastico, thanks mate...time to get my mate on the hunt for one :)

just make sure you dont get a NISMO MFD....because then ill be the jelous one =[

mines only a Vspec version :(

ive also seen that R32 GTR with the MFD. it wasnt on the dash was it? it was where the double dins go...where the factory triple gauges are on the 32 righT? i think i got a pic. will post asap

lol nah anyone will do (luckily) looks like he just got hold of one for me....that's what I call service :)

It's funny there was a stage where I was going to put one in and then the other R34 got stolen so it slipped my mind when I bought this car and started messing with it, thanks for the reminder!

Just wish there was a hack to make it say GT-t on the startup instead of GTR...cause that's gonna make me feel like a complete c#@t

yeh thats got everything you need. the guy is a LEGEND!!!

although the guys english isnt 100%. and there are a few things to take note of. i might get a DIY happening. but ill see wat happens.

honestly if you got basic electrical knowledge....and know ur way around with a soldering iron. your pretty much sweet.

the hard part is finding an actual MFD. the things are like 1500 a pop and rare as f*k. i was lucky enough to buy it off a smashed gtr simliar to this one

:D

they are actually quite bright...its just from the flash of the camera u cant see em that much.

but yeh....any requests on types of pics i should take for tm?

Well R34NRG it is funny how you forget that i gave you that email link and told you what sensors were needed to do the exhaust and intake and spoke to you on the phone for 30mins trying to explain how i did this install nerly 12 months ago when i did it... I don't want thanks but you should't parade around with stories..

Anyway the main reason for this post is to let everyone interested in this install that....

1. You don't need a Vspec version they are all the same (give or take tv button) The all do exhaust and intake temp....

2. The are easy to get from Yahoo action (3 for sale as i type this)

3. G sensor is only in Nismo MFD V2

Look good for you that you got it done but after the time i spent talking you through it before you even bought the unit and then see things i told you such as only needing basic electronic and soldering skills just bugs me...

sorry andy didnt mean to offend ya buddy.

i spoke to you around a year ago and ive emptied my PM box like 100 times. i couldnt remember what your username was.

even if that was the case buddy, i was amazed at honestly how simple it was. strip wires, and soldier onto existing wires. the only hard part is understanding the diagrams.

if you want credit you totally deserve it, because it was you who linked me to everything.

i did on alot of occasions speak personally with purpleline on HK forums.....but u did greatly contribute to it.

but i dont understand why your upset? i really honestly thought anyone can do this with basic electronic and soldering skills. thats just me personally.

let me know andy

nah its cool man i don't want credit at all sorry if what i wrote came across like that and looking back it probley did i just felt like i had wated my time and that has a way of annoying me...

But yea no need to make any credit notes to me just glad it all worked for you.

How did you go with the stereo?? Dont forget to change your signel output in ur stereo to ntsc...

Andy.

Have a look at my post http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...fo-t223920.html

If you want to buy a proper nissan connector with the clips to hold it in there good. Like i said in my post i have not recieved the connector yet so i dont know if it is the right one. if you have a look at the second word doccument i uploaded there is some pics in it that nissan showed me of what i believe is the sub-harness that you could use to hook it up.

I will post here as well as in my original post when i receive it to whether it is the right piece of harness or not.

Just thought you and others might like to know cos if it is the right part is should make it a lot easier to hook up and give a good connection.

Congrats Andru, that's awesome.

Not something I would do until I was running a billion kW like you as all my money goes into the motor and susp atm. You on the other hand ave already been there and done that. Nice one.
