Hi guys,

I'm planning to get custom decals or airbrush done for my Bayside Blue R34 GTR. The one I have in mind right now would be the 2fast2furious gtr. But any ideas, suggestions or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! :(

all i can suggest is to keep it subtle and tasteful.

less is more, do something that will enhance the lines, and not for the sake of a picture on your car :(

another thing, work a few ideas that you might like, then speak to your air brush artist etc to get their opinion, they are usually very artistic and will be able to improve on your design.

Or you can just go all out and do something that is different to what has been in seen in some movie...

Just stay away from tacky, the less is more approach works if the style ideas you have are lame, but you can do something that looks great and stylish without limiting the impact....

Of course I'm gonna say do vinyl, since then if you don't like the design you can change it every now and again and you don't need a respray to remove it.

What colours were you thinking?

What style, race show, glamour, harcore... some of my newer deesigns I'm doing for myself include blood splatters and slaughter scenes... hehehehe

i'm thinking either metallic silver or black for my car as other colours don't really go well with bayside blue..the colour of my rim are bronze so i need to take that into consideration too...but thanks for all your input guys! keep them coming!!

For a colour to suit your car I would use bayside blue but made in a blacker version or with more transperant blue in the paint .

This way it would be more of a ghost effect for the graphics or what ever you go with if painting them on .

you coould also use a blue candy with pearls in it for a darker see though effect which would look very cool .

75coupe has good points with the vinyl and the effect and if you later decide that yo want one of the designs painted on I am sure he can make a reverse stencil for painting .

One other thing is if painting you will need to find someone that will do and if can do if they are not fully booked .

I would definitely be forming a theme so the graphics blend in with the cars overall style and colour scheme, rims, window tint, body kit and even brake caliper colour all play a part in deciding on graphics that suit...

And yes stencils for painters can be done....

I have even had people rather surprised when I tell them no thats just vinyl on my car, they honestly don't believe me until they actually feel the edges...

You could always try a design out in vinyl before getting it painted on, usually even with graphic design I leave a piece hanging somewhere for a day or two too see if it grates on me or not... you soon know if you like it or not... and vinyl is way way cheaper than airbrushed art....

how do they look like? I was thinking of having 2 stripes from the bonnet all the way to the back..like those american muscle car but i'm not sure if it'd suit a skyline..i also don't want something which looks too ricey..simple and clean lines would be gd..and yup vinyl stickers would definitely be a gd choice for me :)

Ghost graphic work, some blue flame work from the front tyres which would be mixtures of blue and black blended into the paint would look tough yet not crap like half the shit you see sprayed on excels and pulsars
