Tisk tisk, sounds like someone was being silly...

In other news... Andrew, SHOULD be getting my car back Tuesday (will definately know tomorrow) Your bro-in-law and you free Tuesday night for the swapsies back?

I'll just cut and paste what i wrote on NS.com

The 180 driver said he was doing 95. The cars that were ahead were going slowly in the left lane waiting for the rest of the cruise to catch up. When the 180 was going past, one of the slow cars turned into the right lane without looking causing the 180 to swerve into the left lane where the slow moving RX7 was and hence the lock up and the collision. The driver that turned into the lane and caused the accident just kept driving to the final destination.

But i was there 2 minutes after the accident happened and i didn't see it, this is what the 180 driver was saying.

And yes they are extremely lucky a truck wasn't coming the other way at 90 otherwise there would have been a death for sure.

im just making it sound bad but there were a few cars that did get defected because they are my mates... and yes it was those cars that got into an accident because i know them

Where did they get defected? Was it at the accident scene or before that?

pity about the small turn out was some nice cars there.i left early cant stand around all day talking how boring some people must have been half asleep by the time everyone left and look what happend

and this is the very reason why i dont go on cruise's

Don't blame you Deano but its a matter of just being picky which ones you go on.

I was originally contemplating this one but got turned off it last minute.

Hope the guy with the 180 has paid up his insurance because it sounds like he'll be held 100% accountable.

Hence why I don't go on cruises like this with questionable skill drivers ....

That is a HUGE hit on the 180SX - like he hit a near stationary object. Why on earth would you go slow in the left lane in a 90 zone anyhow - how dangerous is that???!!! Doesn't matter if they were waiting for others to catch up - they must have been going WAY under the speed limit for damage of that nature. Hella dangerous to themselves and all the traffic around them.

SO HOW WAS THE CRUISE!?!?!!? heard there were a few defects?? wasnt this notified to police as a 'charity' cruise?

Kiet, I am glad u didn't come to our cruise because you are being a dickhead and i don't give a shit about it. Get f**ked yourself and talking out your ass. There are no f**king defect cars and had no trouble with cops. Maybe all of your mate missed out and their 20 cars got defected afterwards? You always making up shit in your posts, threads and forums. Just MOVE ON KIET!!

How was the cruise? Big turn out? Pictures!?

The cruise was going fine as imagined, until an unfortunate mishap occurred resulting in two cars being totaled. We will post up the picture later on at EST forum.

Thanks for clearing it up and Everyone is fine now.

Thanks to those who helped out and my apologies for the incident, that is all.

Mod, Please Close This Thread.

Thanks.

ok seriously kiet u should kinda keep quiet coz u know shit all.

NO CARS GOT DEFECTED

i was in one of those cars that was in the accident and honestly it was caused by the tool in the show blue R34

if he didnt slow down for no reason and then cut infront of my mate while he is doing half the limit and my mate is doing the limit then my mate wouldnt have had to swerve and hit us.

HONESTLY if you werent there i would keep your comments to your self as the two drivers that were involved are the only two people that kno the true story.

and kiet i think u should maybe look at the facts and if your gonna say stuff maybe make sure ur there and kno wat happened

MODS PLEASE CLOSE BEFORE PEOPLE START TALKING MORE SHIT

    • Just had a look, they don't. Fuelling on the base map is purely alpha-N, and the ignition table is MAP. Remember it's just a base map to get the car moving
    • Hi everyone, I’m Dave from Canberra. Here's a few pics of my 1992 R32 GTST coupe which I imported back in 2006. Only mods so far are HKS Hi-power cat back exhaust, K&N filter, ATC Volanti steering wheel, Pioneer stereo, amp and sub. This was my daily driver up until 2015 and sadly hasn’t been driven at all in the last 5 years due to marriage, work, and kids taking up most of my time and spare cash.As such its in need of a bit of TLC and one of my goals for this year is to get it back to running condition and maybe look into club/historic rego. I’ve joined SAU so I can ask a few questions along the way (although I promise to google Current Problem +SAU beforehand!)
    • From talking to the mx5 guys the NC doesn't actually need bonnet vents like the earlier NA and NB models, due to a better designed cooling system and undertray design There's plenty of them used as street cars and weekend track toys running anywhere from around 170 to 250kw with stock non vented bonnets, I initially was going to get some bonnet vents, but, as they are not actually required, I'll put vents on hold for a while and just monitor temps, though I do need to get something to actually monitor engine oil temps though, coolant temp can be pulled from the OBD2, but the oil gauge in the car is not actual oil temp, it is only a calculation based off coolant temp and RPM ☹️ They do recommend upgrading the radiator, which I have already done with a triple pass, and the only other thing they recommend for a street car is heat management, like I talked about above to protect bits in the engine bay from radiant heat, and to either replace the nearly 20 year old plastic coolant expansion tank, which I have done, or get a aftermarket alloy jobbie for some bling They did also say that if I wanted to track the car on occasion a oil cooler and sump baffle would be required, and as I already have had a sump baffle installed when the engine was out......... I'm going to get a oil cooler with a thermostat....... just in case I do eventually track the car, but probably not, but still maybe...🤪
    • Finally had these painted and fitted and pleased with the result. also managed to source 400R fender badges.
