hi, just wanted to confirm the remours ive been told about the r34 GTT auto trans. Can you change it over for an apexi copmuter and get it tuned with out any problems or do you still have to keep original comp and use a piggy back ? whats the best way to change/or piggy back it with for better perfomance ?

power fc will work, however Id strongly suggest a good auto gearbox shift kit

over time the gearbox will die an ugly death tho, will eventually need a rebuild

Wash your mouth out! POWER FC WILL NOT WORK ON AUTO R34's once you remove the ECU, you've also removed the ECM that controls the tiptronic, you *WILL* be stuck in 3rd gear, do not pass go, do not collect $200

ah ok.

my bad. soz for bad advice.

I said shift kit, as that will help minimise the gear change time, seeing that the P-fc has no ignition retard on gear changes.

meh, piggyback it then :O

or talk to Toshi, Im dealing with him atm for a remap chip for my stagea (r34 plug). I had an r34 gtt power-fc and assumed itd work for an r34 like it would for my non-neo rb25det, but decided I cant afford a shagged gearbox.

Yeah the Stag used a similar setup to the R33's remote ECM that still controls shifts...much like the R34 25GT, the GTT got the raw end of the deal so can't use the FC

I'm going for +1 for remap as well, I've got a USB remappable daughterboard, cost me all of $200 and lets me frig with the tune to my hearts content via laptop.

ok, is there any suggestions to whixh brand ecu that will work with it, or it wont work ? is there anyone out there who has done it? will i kill my transmission some time soon or it ll be ok for the longrun if looked after with care ?
