thats the go,

tack welds moving around the panel surface/edges to ensure any movement is countered with the new tack.

hopefully you have a mig welder with good wire feed control, this method is pretty hard with a cheap mig that doesnt do slow wire speeds :)

you can tig them also, up to you and what you have access to.

Make sure you tack the two panels together before, thsi helps stop warping. Then I usually will carefully weld (tack, tack, tack) one inch, leave an inch, weld the next, then go back....

DO NOT USE WATER OR A WET SPONGE TO COOL THE PANEL DOWN!!! Just let it naturally cool... Artificial cooling really makes a shit pie of panels...
