Rb Starter Motors

Looking for a definitive answer regarding compatibility of RB stater motors. Are they all the same ? Chasing one for my Neo RB25det, can I use a VL RB30 one ? Last time I replaced mine at wreckers I noticed some have different number of teeth, is this only related to the gearing and not an issue with compatability ?

hmm not directly useful for an rb25 but I am running an rb30 one on my rb26.

99% sure they are interchangeable.

i'll second that- if an RB30ET rear main seal will fit an RB26 (i can vouch that it does), the starter motor should be all good.

I have an rb26dett starter on my rb25det, so if Duncan has an rb30 on his rb26 then an rb30 should also fit a 25 without any problems.
