Removing Tail Lights

to anyone that's changed their lights, how did you get them out?? and is there something that will dissolve the black glue shit easily?

usuallyl there is just a panel / garnish you remove to give you access to the bulbs

is that what your tryin to do ?

nah i'm changing the light housings on the tailgate...

you undo the screws and pull hard. i used a screwdriver as leverage. the black goo stuff is water proofing, you need it.

ok, got them out and new ones are in. if anyone wants some S2 tail lights, check the fs section

what did you use to reseal them? I used silicone (to seal a leak after someone ran up my bum) but am worried it will be much harder to remove next time

im going to use sikaflex on the boys 31 .it dont go hard like slilcone etc and i recon id have to destroy the light to get it out if it was done with slicone .

The correct stuff to use is windscreen sealant. It does not dry hard.
