on my RB20DET i have fmic,

zorst

gt 3071

bigger injectors (not sure of the size)

apexi PFC

bosch 023 fuel pump

not all the parts have been assembled as of yet.. so while i am putting it together i figured i might change the Cam gears but i was wondering would it realy make any difference that the stck ones?

i have been told by a few fairly reptable people that work on rb's (ray RE customs) that cam gears are not worth stuffing round with.

On stock cams on a RB20 or RB25 i agree, not much gains if any and you are paying for a lot of dyno time. However for a RB26 good gains are to be had out of stock cams with a bit of adjustment.

They let you move the power around so you can set them up to produce more midrange at the expense of the top end or vice versa. So with a big turbo i would suggest setting them up for more midrange and let the turbo take care of the top end.
