Hi,

Does anyone know how fast (0-100km) the M35's are?

I need a wagon for the family and are considering one....

I also want a sick bodykit & the pump it up to 300kw!! where can I get this in Aust, or do I have to get from Japan>

Can any 1 help?

cheers

Adrian

No offical figures for 0-100 but it is in the 6's and that was just with a hand timer. Sourcing "Sick" body kits will be hard as you will need to import from Japan but the options there are quite good.

Getting 300kw is acheivable but you are looking at decent mods, I reckon you will get to 260kw easy enough (note easy not cheap) getting past that will be tougher. If you want 300kw I reckon you would be better off getting a Series 2 260RS, they will handle mods in excess of 300kw if your wallet is big enough and you have no Phobia of current fuel prices.

If it is M35 you desire then maybe looking at one of the 250RT or RS models and with the cash you save spend it on performance mods.

thanks Julius,

what Mods would you recommend??

Fit free fitting exhaust 1st. This takes the boost from around 8psi to around 14-15psi.

I have upgraded the suspension to bilstein shocks and springs plus upgraded to sway bars to solid 32mm on front and 24mm solid on the rear. This really improved the handling and balance of the car. This also lowered a ARX from around 180mm clearance to around 140mm.

That is as far as I have gone so far but other upgrades worth considering are shift kits (to improve speed of shift).

Cheers

Andy

As Andy said a free flowing exhaust, better and bigger turbo never hurt anyone, larger Intercooler, better ECU/Computer, improved induction.....that should help you get started. Serious mods will require changes to internals......

If you cant find stuff for the M35 Stag try similar parts on V35 Skylines many parts are 1 and the same.

"WARNING" If you plan to put serious horsies in the Stag invest in better brakes, 6 or 8 Pots will set you back about $2k a pair but will more than do the job. Common problem with most Japanese Performance wagons, great power average brakes........Make sure you find calipers that use easy available pads....

Hi AV,

This all comes back to how much you want to spend....like just about anything......$2,000, $20,000?

The below prices and figures are estimates that I have been working to....If you want more info please feel free to PM me.

Exhaust $1,200 (Charlestone Exhaust) please note that the boost jumps from 8psi to 15.5psi (probably gets you to about 240kw)

Turbo high flow and steel impellers $1,450

Intercooler $1,000

ECU(Haltec with dyno tune...P.s. The standard tune is very is shit so this should be a big improvement) $1,350

This should get you up to between 260kw and 275kw fairly easily at about 15PSI. As you can see done properly you are already at $5,000 and you have not even cracked the motor open yet. Another couple of $$$$ on the motor and turbo and you should quite easily get about 320KW to 340KW...would be interested to know if the VQ35 bit's would go into it as you could the quote easily look at 340KW!! Finding someone that can build a performance VQ25DET motor is you next problem.....I have seached high and low.

Next problem is the gearbox. The Shift is crap.....gearbox seems good though.

Shift Kit $450 (Andy found someone for this)

Stall convertor $800 (I am still searching....I may use Domanello's)

Oil cooler $200 (You can get them anywhere....it's a good safety upgrade due to Ozzie summer weather....yes I know last summer was shit...lol)

And finally now that you are traveling fairly well you need to stop and turn. I am not bias when saying this either....the AR-X although being higher and heavier probably has the best setup. e.g V-Hicas, Larger Rolling diameter, LSD rear diff is standard, 2 syncro settings, attessa.

Bilstein Suspension - $1,650 + fit $350

Sway bar's front and back $600 (See SydneyKid on forums)

Brakes - your guess...Brembo is about $2,500 from Northshore Prestige.

Anyway after all of that....you the have the fuel bills....and pushing 1,750kg's with a V6 2.5lt turbo ain't cheap

    • AFM looks to be a z32 The injectors maybe old Nismo 555cc The turbo tag when looked up seems to be a gt2871 , imagine it would have the bigger rear housing .82 all look like the mid 00's mods when he started building it up. Vac hose seems right but would need to see a diagram. Great work going up there and sorting it out, be a good club car for someone wanting a good reliable rig.  I know I would like to have it but no space and too many other race cars at the moment.
    • Heys guys I got a r32 gtst speedo is out by 10kph seems the faster I go the more it be out  just seeing if anyone else had to problem and knows how to fix it
    • I can't agree. If we hadn't all been brought up with the noise caused by the inefficiency of an ICE, no-one would actually ask for all that. An EV is like any other car, it just goes better.
    • 2 more things I have to work out Easy one first...can anyone describe how to pull the fuel pump and sender from a 33? I can feel there is some sort of mount and clips but don't have a manual and don't know the trick......if not I'll spend some quality time in the boot witha lighter tomorrow. Second question is harder.  He had changed the upper plenum to a plazmaman but clearly got to a point with the vacuum hoses where he said "f**k it, I'm going inside for a beer" and never came back to that job because it was a mess. Am I right to think that I need: 1. Pre throttle (16mm nipple on inlet) to AAC's main 20mm fitting as the main pre throttle feed 2. ACC has a second 13m outlet joined to that 20mm fitting which I think is the pre throttle air supply for the cold start valve? 3. Cold start valve's outlet fitting then goes to Plenum (to bypass throttle?) There is some adapter on the back of the ACC with 2 fittings (13mm and 10mm), do I run the 10mm through a 1 way valve to the Brake Booster (4) and the 13mm back to a 13mm nipple on the Plenum as the Idle control (5)? 6. Run a 6mm vacuum line from the Turbosmart BOV to the Plenum? 7. Run a 5mm vacuum line from the Fuel Pressure Reg to the Plenum? 8. Run a 5mm vacuum line from the Turbosmart Boost controller to the Plenum? (Wastegate already has a pre turbo pressure source running to the solenoid then the wastegate on the other side of the bay)  Any help appreciated, the GTR is quite different setup and while the Stagea also has FFP it is different again. (And no Dose, I'm not pissing it all off and putting a ethrottle on it....)
    • OK, onto some questions to try and speed up the process a little. Does anyone know what core this Garret is? I know it is a high flowed standard turbo but nothing else about it. Tag says OK 0169J - 446179-5032 Same question for the injectors, I don't know what they flow and ideally can work it out before it hits the dyno, they are a mustard yellow side feed
