Because I'm not gettin the response I hoped for in another section of SAU, I'll post it here.

When I was driving home home on Saturday when it was pouring with rain and flooded roads I hit something. I was doing about 10 or 20km/h but it did make a pretty big thump. I notcied about 10 minutes after that, that my immobiler light was flashing quite fast, I didnt think much to of it at first but when I got home and turned my car off it was still flashing then I tried to start my car and it wouldn't start.

Come the next day I tried to start it and it was up and running (possibly water from the flooded roads causing a fault?), problem is now my immobiliser or alarm doesnt work. I also noticed today that sometimes when the car's parked it will turn the indicator lights on itself and they'll stay on for a while, as if my alarm had been set off. I also noticed just then that on my powerfc controller I dont have a knock reading (the little digit in the corner that has the number) I only get the bar of knocking but no figure on any of the channels....

I'm guessing alarms are somehow connected to knock sensors? Maybe ive dislodged my knock sensor? I would like to take a quick look at a possible cause before I take it to an autosparky. Car is driveable atm but I dont want the indicator lights to come on when im at work and my battery goes dead!!!

Any help would be good :teehee:

Try disconnecting you battery for a while and reconnecting, say 15min later.

I've heard this helps for certain immobilizers when the have faults.

If it continues I'd say the immobilizer has a problem, if you know the model of the immobilizer search car stereo/audio forums for common problems.

Engine knock sensors aren't connected to immobilzer, unless you mean door sensors etc.

Well I disconnected the battery for about 30 seconds and I ran it flat by holding the brake down then reconnected it, and its still faulty  I actually did that first thing when I got home when I noticed it wasnt working.

Im more curious now as to why I've lost the knock number on my pfc controller more than the alarm....

Anyone got any ideas?
