Hi all,

When the legnum was imported it copped a dent in the drivers door, which is slowly shitting me off more and more. I had a dentless removal guy come and look to tell me "I can't do anything about that as the side impact beam is right behind there", and then I took it to a crash shop to be told "because your car is pearl, we need to repaint the whole door" :(

SO I dont want to pay for full respray of the door, so was thinking of giving one of the suction dent pullers a go. I'm thinking it can only flatten out the worst part of it, but wanted to know others experiences and/or if anyone has one I can borrow. $50 for a one time use seems a little steep so hoping someone has 1 I can borrow.

Oh, and I can't get a pic of the dent as I dont have the car in my posession for a few days while the trans is getting some work.

Cheers,

Lee :D

if the dent guy reckons he cant do it and he does it for a living what chance do ya reckon you have ? not been rude or a smart arse i reckon i would leave it as it is till you can afford or are willing to pay to get it done properly .

if ya stuff it up it will look worse than it does now and maybe cost more to get it fixed when you do

cheers mid life crisis

Point taken - and I agree there is now way I would not do as good a job as he would.

BUT, I see it as he wouldnt take the job because he couldnt remove the dent completely as that is what his service is. He wouldnt be able to get at it from behind to knock with a dolly (??), and therefore did not want me paying for a half done job.

What I am aiming to do is reduce the visibility of the dent UNTIL I actually care/save enough to pay hundreds of $$ to respray the door.
