hey People

Was wondering how much power can a HKS Cast Split Pulse Exhaust Manifold can hold and how much punishment can it withstand......

Also is there Advantages for this over a High mount manifold

thank you in advance

I've been running one for a few years. What do you mean by abuse? Mine has been heat wrapped most of the time, and I've been making over 400rwhp for like 2 years. 500rwhp for about a year. The are beefy as anything out there and I couldn't see how it would be possible to crack one.

The only advantage I can think of for the bottom mount is that it's a straighter shot for the exhuast. It doesn't have to make those 2 near 90 degree bends. I don't think it's much of a benefit though.

400rwhp... that is cool..... i just like the look of these manifolds

They look very simlar to the standard manifold except with a flange for the wastegate.

I have seen a couple that have cracked one the forum

Im using the rb26 version, which is basically the same only larger. Mine is ceranic coated. the benefits over a stainless tubular one is improved heat(energy) retention, far more resilient to cracking. They usually only crack inside the meerger, which almost all cast manifolds do, and doesn't cause leaking. Having said that, most of the stainless ones cracking IMO is caused by poor installations where there isnt enough bracing, and the manifold is taking the weight of the turbo and exhaust, which wants to flap around.
