I am an american living in Japan, and I joined this forum because (drum roll) its in English! I was a big Honda guy back in the states, so this car is still fairly greek to me. I bought it stock from mainland, added a 5zigen exhaust, work emotion xt7 wheels, and an HKS blowoff valve.

Look nice and clean with the white paint.

Wheels look sick with the streached tyres. Is the car lowered? Or just big rims?

Get a front mount intercooler and a pair of R33 GTR rear pods for the rear bar and it look sweet.

Let me guess you are teaching English in Japan :(

Hey Travis,

Welcome, there are a couple yanks around here (myself included) so you're not alone, as well as a big contingent of SAU in Japan as well, so check that board for happenings in Japan.

I'm from L.A. originally, but did two years in Japan, two in Bangkok, and now in beautiful sunny Melbourne, Australia.

cheers,

David @ Carizma

I am an american living in Japan,

Welcome to the SAU Forum!

Enjoy your car and give yourself time to settle into it...

Especially if you're new to Japan and are getting used to driving on the correct side of the road!!

Was the Honda you have before a performance vehicle?

Are you going to find a good/reliable mechanic that's familiar with Skylines?

How's the air in the part of Japan where you live?

I'm asking because if you live in a city where's there's a lot of smog, it's good to check for residue in your air intakes, change the radiator water, use paint protection etc.

If you get any more posts from (OO) SKYLINE (OO) above, he's very constructive in his comments...

So sit back, listen in and enjoy your ride.

Cheers,

Terry

some of the hondas i have had were a couple of CRXs, one of which is a b20vtec set up. last one i had was a 2000 coupe with an lsvtec set up.

the air here is fine, its okinawa.

i am a good mechanic. i just need to learn a few skyline-specific things.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, it might take a while to get used to the Aussie sense of humor. A very long while. :(

Sounds as if you know your cars then...

Carizma is still wondering though as to whether you might see a car coming straight at you when you make a right hand turn!!

Over to you...

I'm off for now...

Cheers,

Terry

welcomen!

those tyres look super low profile or theyre 19"? how comfy are they? wait a minute, you dont get potholes in japan do ya, must be a southern hemisphere thingy.

they are 18x10 in the rear with a 235/40 tire.

actually, a lot of the roads here suck. i jsut miss the big ones. i lived in southern california so my pot holes avoidance skills are highly acute. they ride just fine. i got them nitrogen filled to about 37psi so i dont have to mess with them.

im curresntly looking for a set of beater wheels, at least rear, for saturday nights.
