Hi everyone,

bit of a question here. I was looking to get a FMIC installed and have been shopping around. I was looking for something around the $700-800 mark. I thought the Greddy SpecM's would fit in an R34 GT-T but have been informed by a shop keeper I'll need a Spec-V. Is this the case or have some of you guys got the Spec M in there?

Cheers!

Greddy spec M is out of production. and when they were in production they were very cheap as they use a cheaper core to all the other greddy coolers (still nice piping). $800 for one is pretty cheap. brand new in japan they were around the $400 mark.

I believe they have been replaced now by Greddy LS. but personally I would get something a little nicer. something higher up in the greddy range.

M-Spec fits. I Put one on mine. No cutting of fan req'd. Clearance with the bonnet is a bit of a b!tch, hits a tiny bit but no damage done. Probably the way I fitted it tbh.

Whoever is quoting you 700-800 is ripping you off. Can get them for 600 and possibly 580 or so with a bit of haggle.

Yeah i got mine for $600

Magic, you're lucky...i had to trim the fan down a little...

you're right about the clearance. bit of a bitch, but got it to fit.

pretty good fit eventually though...

I'll take a pick of my install tomorrow of how to stop it from hitting the fan since I'm pulling crap out while im changing my corroded radiator hose fitting to a stainless one. Bit late in your case, but for guys doing it in the future it's a good idea. Instead of using one of the parts used to mount the fmic up. I screwed a spare onto the left side of the engine so it holds the piping in place solid as a rock. Also, need to remove the Neo engine cover.

I have a Spec M installed on mine. works a treat, no complaints just yet.

Had to trim only like 2cm off the fan which isnt too much. Clears the bonnet, but a pretty big job altogether.

As Beer Baron said, the Spec M has been replaced with the new Spec LS which has a tube and fin core instead of the bar and plate which the Spec M has

Are you sure the LS is tube and fin? From the Greddy advertising I've seen they are still bar and plate, just lighter then the Spec M.

Mmmm, seems like the LS is the way to go indeed. I guess the next question that I beg to ask is, where can I shop for one of these in Victoria? I was looking around a few joints but most say they want 680 (my best quote so far).

Ideas gentlemen?
