hey guys. all of a sudden i have started to blow the 4th fuse down on the left hand side of the fuse box (room lamp fuse) and have NFI why.

there is power, and there appears to be a circuit through the earth.

as soon as a new fuse is in place it blows, rather spectacularly :( .

i have checked the wiring i have done, and all the solders are fine, completely covered with no arcing.

seeing it is a lamp fuse i checked the interior lamps. they all have circuits (and of course no power, as the fuse is blown)

symptoms were no interior lights, the open door light would STAY on, now it doesnt even show up.

edit= it happened just after i did a service, if that helps. i had to move some wireing to get to the oil filter.

any ideas or tips?

the car still runs, its just a pain in the butt to have no door open warning light or interior lights?

Sounds like a direct short.

Do you have "courtesy lights" on your interior? possibly the capacitor for that is shot.

Also double check the wiring you moved to make sure that isn't shorting, or been rewired wrongly.

hey man. nah i just have the centre roof light. and one above the windscreen. basically the wiring in the engine bay i had to move was the wiring loom. i will recheck it.

its a pain in the ass!!!

the door open light used to stay on constantly.

now just like the interior lights. it stays off aswell.
