Newbie To Sau Just Purchased R33 Gtr Vspec

Hi all picked up my GTR V Spec the other week, love the car but after the initial excitment of owning this awesome machine I started to find out a few things that I am unsure about as this is my first GTR.

Is it common to have surface rust underneath the car, as mine has surface rust everywhere? Also some of the disk rotars are warped, I was told that it is not uncommon for this to occur as they run different brake pads in Japan?

How do you remove stock boost restrictor and do you need a boost controller after you do?

It depends on where in Japland your car came from. If your car was from a place where it was close to the sea or snowed a lot then u would expect it to have more rust. Check you strut towers for rust, as i've seen a few Skylines and Stags with this problem. Did u import it yourself or did u get it locally? did u know the car had rust before you bought it?

Your boost restrictor is located on the boost solenoid which is located on the drivers side tower. you will see two hoses, one with a yellow band around it. pull the hose off the one with the band and squeeze the restrictor thru. u will get an instant boost increase a tad under 14psi.

Not sure where the car was from but purchsed directly from importer, have asked for import papers, should be in the post. As for rust I noticed a small amount on one of the seems in the drivers side shockie tower, not enough for concern as the car is very clean. Only noticed the surface rust when the car got serviced and was on the hoist.

Just after I picked up the car I bought a full Bee-R exhaust 3.5 inch into 4inch with Titanium muffler currently sitting in garage!

unfortunately I have taken the car back and have purchased another GTR which I will pickup next week.

At the time I picked up my 33 from the importer he showed me a sweet 32 gtr he had brought over. After going for a ride in it, the only thing I could think about was this 32 .

Convincing my wife the extra money was worth it was the hard part but after a while I got permission, so I picked up the phone and he kindly agreed to take mine back and I would pay the difference. Cant wait till next week!!! Have some pics of the 32 before it left Japland, only difference is the carbon fibre doors are gone and it now has r34 gtr rims.
