Where Does The Actuator Line Go?

where does the actuator line tap into? somwhere on the intake i imagine.. but where ?

On the hot side. ie as in where there is boost.

On a stock RB20 engine and stock RB20 turbo, it goes from the compressor housing to the wastegate actuator diaphram.

boost is controlled directly via the wastegate spring.

its a rb25 turbo on it, from memory i thought i saw the hose go somwhere on teh intake side of the motor

on a stock R33 set up, the line goes from the actuator to the intercooler pipe.

so you can "tap a nipple" into the cooler piping or you can actually tap a nipple in to the compressor housing like it is setup on the stock RB20 turbo.

obviously, what ever you tap in to would need to be done off the car as it requires drilling and little metal filings.

I have seen some people connect it to the line that goes to the bov.

I'd try to keep the line as short as possible.

so really it jsut needs to be on the hot side.. i think the previous owner had it on what looks to be a small vacum regulator at the back of the inlet manifold. so I take it short as possible to stop spiking?

I have a RB25 turbo on my car and I had the nipple tapped into the intercooler piping. Use the old nipple from your RB20 turbo
