Looking for some pics of GTSt which has had the std guards pumped a little to clear bigger rubber. Not interested in fibreglass flares, just looking for pics of an R32 with steel guards tweaked etc.

Have seen it on plenty of S13s and looks great. Only the R32 has a pronounced guard line and not sure if it will look any good on an R32 GTSt. Alternative is GTR guards which i am trying to avoid. But whilst OS want the car left with panel beater so this can be done in the near future

fronts ive got 20mm fenders, couldnt find anyone that could flare my guards.

my p1s are 17x9 +17 the rears atm have 255/45/17 (could do with a 20mm spacer and 235/45/17 tyres to make a better fitment.)

fronts are 17x9 +17 with a 10mm slip on and has 235/45/17 sits pretty flush but i would like to try and sit a 15mm in it.

racing harts were 18x8.5 +21 235/45/18 / 18x9.5 +21 275/45/18.

why are you trying to avoid gtr gaurds? the fronts would not be too expensive.

Think Roy is refering to the rear more so in reference to avoiding GTR guards, which is either an add on FG panel, or a cut/merge & repaint job.

Fronts require a couple of other changes (indicator & maybe front bar?) and isn't as cost effective as rolling guards.

If a big fan of a well done guard rolling job, esp. to fit deeeeeep dish rims :ninja:

Love that pic of the matt black 32 finshed with the GTR front bar

Well, partly because its a GTSt and i want it to saty looking that way. Partly because the change to indicators, side skits, front bar etc etc is a ball ache, and the rear qtrs need to have the innter guards and fuel filler neck etc done as well which is a more costly job. So, lol yeh, mostly money and complexity for a car that is a track car and likely to eat armco again sooner or later :D

just sprayed the quaters.

but yeah roy, you'll be able to fit a fair bit of rubber (with 18x9.5 +21 with 275/45/18 i still had heaps to play with.) if your flared your rear guards.

fronts ill suggest you get them lipped or go for the gtr guards.

ok thanks man

I need to flare my rear and fronts to fit my new wheels in

How had are the fronts to do and do they come up good or do they need a lot of work?

Did you use a proper guard roller or did you use the dodgy newspaper method lol

Thanks again

Piss of Abu :D If we end up with simialr gaurds then our cars are going to be too similar :D Actually thats not a bad thing :D

lol

Trying to copy my style hey!

What wheels you got Roy?

I just sold my R33 GTR wheels and bought something a little more crazy, but won't say too much at the moment :)

We should combine your R32 with my R32 then we'd have the ULTIMATE streeter R32 :)

    • All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.
    • It is a two door. It is black and also still has the OEM wheels and stereo. Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant. Will try to upload a few pictures soon. The OEM wheels look like the below image. Image is taken from the goo-net-exchange website.

    • Welcome Gabriel. At least your car has a glorious RB and not the shitty CA18. As MBS206 mentioned all the good bits can be added later. Two doors or four?
    • And half of them have been converted to turbos.
