my front are rolled out but i dont know how to up load the pics

you can push them pretty far, well compared to s13 fronts

but my wheels still hit so i am using import blitz s13 fiberglass

overfenders not the old datsun style but ones that flow with the

line of the guard and sort of give a small version of the rear

hip line.

they need to be trimed to work but do fitt and look cool

ok thanks man

I need to flare my rear and fronts to fit my new wheels in

How had are the fronts to do and do they come up good or do they need a lot of work?

Did you use a proper guard roller or did you use the dodgy newspaper method lol

Thanks again

Oi! How is using the newspaper method dodgy? Using a pole is dodgy. hahaha

The newspaper roll/flare would turn out pretty good if you've already got the guards rolled. It just 'pumps' the guard out, you can say 'naturally'. The guard will be pushed out of the way where the wheels will go because the wheels themselves put it there.

abu, do you change rims like you change undies? haha what happened to the work emotions you had on..

Seems like it ey? hahah. He sold the Kai's long ago. He's only had the 33 GTR wheels for like 2 months and sold them already!

I know what he's got on the way now though, definitely something to keep an eye out for. :)

havent seen anyone that i know of do the fronts, but i presume you use the guard roller. unless you want to go ghetto style.

oh ok

I might just do it with a roller, I want it to come out as smooth as possible but not fussed as one of my front guards needs a touch up anyways so would rather paint the whole thing

doing my fronts tomorrow!!!

dont expect the guard to stay straight but as long as my wheels fit in im happy!!

ah make sure you get pictures and post up how it went, I'm keen to see the results

hahah

Yeh KAI's sold a while back but you wait and see what I got lined up this time

lolll man as long as this newspaper thing works I don't care! haha

Yeah just need to pump them to tuck the wheels under but I've been thinking and I don't know how the hell were going to get them to tuck under haha

hahahah we'll get it under. We've seen them get under before so we know it's possible. haha

whats the size / offsets of your new rims?

I don't know if I should give this information away... :(

Better not. I'll let abu tell you, but I think it's better if you just wait!

lol

Trying to copy my style hey!

What wheels you got Roy?

I just sold my R33 GTR wheels and bought something a little more crazy, but won't say too much at the moment ;)

We should combine your R32 with my R32 then we'd have the ULTIMATE streeter R32 :(

Mate if my car looked as good as yours i would be a very happy camper. As for wheels, mostly 17" wheels, i have two sets of WEDS, a set of Desmond Regamasters, Work XD9s and a set of Enkei 18" RPF1 which i hope will squeeze under the rolled and lipped guards....so too many wheels :P

Once i get the body done, wheels that clear the brakes and look good on the car then i am going to have to have a fire sale as i have way too much money tied up in wheels. Coming home drunk and bidding on yahoo auctions is bad

whats the size / offsets of your new rims?

I will say sizes but thats all

Fronts: 17 x 9.5 + 17

Backs: 18 x 10 + 18

Now you wait for pictures lol

Thanks man

Thats quiet the collection of wheels, all quality wheels too

ah thats good, you will have it looking mint in no time. Not many silver R32s around, mostly all black so make sure you keep it silver whatever you do!

Your bidding drunk, I'm bidding sober which is far worse!!

got good & bad news..

the good: flare job was perfect, paint cracked as usual not major dents or buckles :) the guys who did it did a fken marvellous job

the bad: still not wide enough to clear my rims.. i need another 2cm Lololol only option is GTR r32 front fenders + roll/flare if i have to.

how he did it: used a guard roller to roll the inner lip flat..

chuck the wheel on

used a small round pole or large socket extension and drive the car back & forth slowly.. did this a few times

then evened it out with hammer, rubber malet & some metal block thing??

i can post up pics of the flare job if you want.

Wow, he used a pole for flaring the front guards? How'd the guard hold up? With my guards, it went loose from where it joins to the car (it came out 15-20mm). I used the newspaper method, but don't see how the pole technique is any difference when trying to push it out.

Definitely post some pics up!

    • Sounds like it may all just be some baseless outrage stoked by the carexplore guy? As in the linked social media outrage on facebook just goes back to carexplore as a source again. Further shown by the council response that nothing actually has changed: "The Private Land Use Permit has been part of the Casey Community Local Law for a number of years. It's important to clarify that this permit is not new, and no changes have been made to the permit or the Local Law in relation to the permit." The full council response in Prank's link sounds reasonable to me. Saying that as someone who neither lives there nor has a front yard to call their own
    • Clutch hydraulics are also all good, looks like a brand new slave cylinder and everything bled up well. No idea what the actual clutch is, and I don't intend to pull the box off on the floor to find out, so unless we have trouble on the dyno or at shakedown that will remain a mystery for the new owner
    • Front brakes are G4 8 pot calipers over 330mm discs with braided lines. Everything looks good, pretty sure these are off my old 350. Pads are brand new and judging from gold colour are Winmax which is what I also run on my race car, Neil and I both sourced brake stuff from Matty at Racebrakes Sydney who really knows his stuff Everything has bled up nicely with all new Motul RBF600 fluid, there were 2 loose hard line connections and the calipers were new on the car so I ended up doing it 3 times but it is perfect now
    • So, starting with the rear brakes. They look like standard R33 GTST, and will need new pads shortly (less than 5mm material, probably only 1 day left). The slotted discs (probably DBA) are near new at 18.01mm and the lines are braided
