Light Modding Of An Rb25?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, my mate has finnally got his R34 GT-T (very nice car to drive btw) and seeing as my car is going into the shop tomorrow for a NA-T conversion I was wondering what light mods can be made to this stock engine to at least keep our cars reletively on par (only going to run 5 psi on mine for at least a few months).

So would it be beneficial to swap out the stock ceramic turbo for a ball bearing one of equal or* greater size, and what can be done to give the RB25 the lowdown kick like the 2JZ (short of expensive stroker kits and twin turbo setups of course :)).

I don't really know a great deal about modifying Skyline engines so any help is appreciated :)

remember that because your converting from N/A to a turbo setup you can only run minimal boost.

as the compression from the NA motor will be way higher than the turbo equiv.

stick with the stock turbo and around 5psi or whatever the tuner is ok with.

you might find any more boost will kill the motor without compression change (ask the tuner).
