Well...

I just bolted my stainless manifold onto my rb24DET then bolted my Garrett T04Z ontop of that... But I don't know if its going to fit under the bonnet?

What do you think?

I don't have an engine in the car at the moment or a bonnet on it to measure it, but from the top side of the hole in the engine mount to the top of the turbo is 470mm or 47cm's

Advice Please....

Jeez that thing is sitting high. It looks about 3 quarters of the turbo is above the rocker covers.

I have a photo of my 42R which sits about halfway to my rocker covers and it just fits under the bonnet although I had to grind down part of the knob on the front cover and a 26/30 sits a bit higher.

I think you will find judging against mine that it just fits but will sit against the underbonnet heat shielding.

Hopefully it will fit, the botten is a Fibreglass job so will definetly have to put a deanie on the turbo and some sort of heat proofing on the underside of the bonnet, where do i get that "flame guard" tape from? or wrap?

I won't be cutting any holes in the bonnet, Can somsone measure the distance from the bolt in the passenger side engine mount to the under side of the bonnet if possible?

Out of curiousity whats the legalities of having the turbo half way through the bonnet lol

yes it's illegal to cut a hole in the bonnet, it's illegal to have something sticking up through the bonnet and it's even illegal to have something like that right up close, or even hard against the bonet. there is supposed to be empty space between bonnet and anything hard so that when you drill a pedestrian at 50kmh and they land on your bonnet, the bonnet can crumple before it hits anything hard. could be tough to get around these things.
