if its a r34 gtv like your username says, it will have the turbo brakes and suspension, but thats it. Other than that its a stock na r34. Have a search on the forums (theres a search function) and theres heaps of info on the models

Have fun with it and post some pics up when it gets here :ermm:

have you ran your VIN through FAST yet to determine whether or not you have a GT-V or just a GT?

when you say "i'm wondering......" tells me that you haven't even checked this.

but to answer your thread question - yes i do have the turbo brakes on my NA.

The GT-V is bassically a Turbo chassis except the NA's didnt get traction controll  , which is a shame.

Good to see a few more GT-V owners around.

From front and side on we look like the turbo models, until you see our dead give away NA arse end.

Another thing, the GT-V is such a better model over the standard GT, so why the hell didnt nissan put a V or the back of the car with the GT ?! thats one thing that I found a little strange.

Its not like the GT-V was a little more than the GT, it was nearly $4000 more.

Price brand new

GT - 2395000 yen - $23950 (roughly)

GT-V - 2765000 yen - $27650

GT-T - 3095000 yen - $30900

I got the DBA GTR Brakes sitting at home.. got it with the car..

Just gotta find the time to put them on, or if i cant be screwed im just gonna sell them.

Vikz,

If you end up not bothering.. PM me mate, Ill take em off you hands for a good price

Pretty sure 25GT is 2 piston fronts, and GT-T's etc are 4... Although i don't know about the rears.

Also the GT is diff to the 25GT. A R34 GT uses the RB20DE engines whereas the R34 25GT is RB25DE, I would assume people knew that already and that it was left out ( i assumed when typed GT everyone meant 25GT?)

Also by my understanding the list of 34's (non GT-R & decending in order from N/A to FI) are:

ER34 GT

ER34 25GT

ER34 GTFOUR - (Thought GTFOUR is the RB25DE (non turbo) AWD model)

ER34 GT-T

ER34 GT-V - ( Thought GT-V is the RB25DET (turbo) AWD model)

There cold be more models...or is it that im wrong and GTFOUR and GT-V are one in the same??? im so confused now! gaah.

hey guys...r34 gt25....are do they have 2 piston or 4 piston brakes?

need to know to buy right pads from markk

Standard NA brakes are just 2 piston, easy way to tell is the Turbo brakes are big calipers with nissan written on the side of them

The Full list of R34's excluding the GT-R

ER34 GT

ER34 25GT

ER34 25GT-X

ER34 GTFOUR - (NA - AWD model)

ER34 GT-X FOUR

ER34 GT-V - (NA - Turbo spec chassis)

ER34 GT-T

ER34 GT-XT

i have done a turbo brake upgrade on my car :D see im usefull for some things, not a lot but some things.

umm i got R34 GTT 4 pot calipers on the front (you will need 310mm rotors for them to fit properly) and R33 GTST 2 pot calipers on the back (297mm rotors need - which is the stock size anyway).

very easy to do they fit straight on really! lol

my stock size front rotors where 296mm yet the rear is 297mm - -go figure considering most of the braking is done on the front :blush:

    • I’m interested in the carbon diffuser fins and Toshiba MFD screen replacement if they’re still available.
    • @GTSBoy yeah i know it was not the "great" idea but it is and option...but i think i will stay on no BoV rather then trying to make it work with "half" this and that. But that GReddy FV2 is cool...i like that you can make it like stock if you want (and have/make the custom pipes) For other thanks! it was alot of information. But for the sound...a dont rly "like" both of them...specialy if they are loud...but if i "must" choose i would rather have little whooosh rather than sutututu with no BoV....BUT that is what is i gonna get. So for the all info i gather. In my case:  No BoV is not that bad cuz it is stock...and iam used to put N/clutch right after rpms are around 1000 so it should be ok...just need to avoid "big" drops. But i do not have the engine in the car so i do not really know how "bad" or good it is. But as i had that little test drive it looked ok. The atmo BoV should be worse car would dump to much fuel specialy between the shifts...so without proper tune/ECU i dont want that. BUT with that...car should drive ok with no problems right? (i do like there is less piping wih this solution) 🙂
    • Usually an RB20 won't stay in closed loop idle anyway. The O2 sensor gets too cold, stops swinging.
    • They aren't, but it depends on what interests you about an R32-R34. If it's the front engine I6 turbo that tunes well with a manual transmission an E92 335i 6MT is so incredibly cheap. You can get a super clean one for 20-25k USD tops. Put an LSD in it, tune it, have fun with it. If it's the general idea of AWD + turbo and a manual transmission the 996 Turbo is absolutely much more expensive, it's less practical but it's also basically a complete track-ready car from the factory. At least the Mezger doesn't have heaps of oil control issues. And in the US the 996 Turbo and R33 GTR are roughly the same price these days. 996 maybe a bit more now that the hype has abated for old Skylines here.
