i agree cheapness may affect quality

but most quotes ive gotten are around 1200-1500 fitted and painted for a full kit (assuming u dont need major modifications to fit it)

unless u go to places with a huge rep

fibrevision, damage control etc etc

i have witnessed the workmanship of the said workshop with that quote and paint looks too nice...

has done many AutoSalon cars... anyone want to know more just pm me, i'm getting mine done within the next two weeks or so

Not only do you get what you pay for, one month out from salon dont expect businesses to bend over backwards for you guys and not charge for it. If you so badly wanted to do Salon, this conversation would be taking place in Jan/Feb.

Price is pretty good, I went to get couple quotes around places and there normally like this,

Side Skirts: $300

Front: $500

Rear: $500

Total: $1300

so you got yourself a bargain :)

Anyways, Andrew, gimmie a call and lemme know the guy your going through... think ill just book the same time as you, will be kinda strange seeing two cars the same almost coming out of one shop...lol

  • 2 weeks later...

Dude you have no idea why my car is off the road, big issue with licensing center and so on... the reason it affects me so much is cuz the car has been off the road for almost three months, i have only had the car for 6 months, and its not that i cant afford it, its that i cant afford to put what i want into it right now... things such as bills and so on come up, if i wanted to sell it, obviously i would have...

Geez, let someone have a rant will ya!...lol

BTW... car will be ready to go in about a week now, kit is in and getting done as i type...

    • Update time!  The JZX110 had some maintenance needing to be done, so a lot of the seals with replaced to fix some oil leaks. Also used this opportunity to whack on a front mount that I'd bought some time ago.  I also finally got the rear lip painted and fitted.  I then got the exhaust done. It's just a catback for now. Custom made 3" stainless with a turn down. I could have a tip coming out, but it will require cutting the rear lip and possibly the bumper itself. So far I do like and it's made the car a little more zippy.  Close out with some nice pictures of the cars and a sneak peek of what's next.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. Scan of a magazine with the black R33 from 1996: Wayback machine archived page from May, 2000: https://web.archive.org/web/20000529061027/http://www.emotion-r.co.jp/skyline.html Option magazine with a few photos from the Cockpit Tatebayashi booth at the Auto Salon from various years: 2002: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=154&image_id=3507 2003: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=137&image_id=3033 2005: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=116&image_id=1831 In 2008 Cusco website mentions that the Cockpit Tatebayashi ECR33 was displayed at that year's Tokyo Auto Salon: https://www.cusco.co.jp/event/2008/12/post_735.html As of 2021 it appears that the ECR33 demo car ended up being exported to Florida, USA: https://rmcmiami.com/inventory/1996-nissan-skyline-r33-cockpit-tatebayashi-demo-car-big-te06-turbo-endless-brakes-lsd-450hp/ And finally here's Google streetview of the Emorion R garage in 2023 which is amazingly not only still there, but the showroom is still full of various parts in stock and funishings, etc.: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ttyEAZdZLyzermyT9 Apologies for nerding out a bit. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
