Hey guys and girls,

I introduced myself and my car a couple of months ago, well im back i need some help desperately. After spending $2,600 on a full major service and a brand new exhaust i have run out of money to get my car raised up...(and for the record im not asking for money) I have Tien HR in my skyline, and i was wondering in this whole forum if there is some1 with keys for the Tiens, and some guys, or girls who are willing to help me this weekend to raise my car up (prefure some people who have done this before because i have not a clue what im doing).

Please Guys and Girls if i could get 2 people to help this weekend, and a set of key i could borrow that would be awsome...

I hope i can get some intrest in people who are willing to help...

Please if u could lend me a hand this weekend please send me a pm.

Best Regards, Vlad

I've got the 'C' spanners, but I'm not coming to ACT this weekend, sorry.

If someone I know gets in touch, I can send them - best i can do.

that would be awsome now i just need some guys to help with the raising, lol

If only i could find my spanners i would give it to you.

Its pretty simple easy to raise the suspension, just hard work thats all.

If you have spring compressors, that would help alot too. Basically you just unlock the bottom plate and then wind the upper plate to your desired height and then lock the bottom plate again. Also the spanners have a little square on the end, which is designed to fit in a 1/2" ratchet/breaker bar for more leverage.

Hope that helps.

i called up one of the places here in canberra but they said 300 and thast if the coils arent jammed, if they are ill looking for per hour labour, so thatw why im trying to see if i can get some guys together to give me a hand....

Coils on them shouldn't be jammed as i only got the shockers 6 months ago, threads didn't have rust either.. just use some wd40 and she'll be fine.

It's easy to do Vlad, just jack her up and you'll get what i mean. Your a strong boy, sure u can do it...just get some spring compressors and its easy as.

If u need any more help, give me a call. :)

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
