For the motored type: OCAU.mc and Netrider have active SA members, the later meet regularly at Scoozi (Tues nights?) but never been myself.

The local forums just don't cut it. Too low member numbers and general rubbish talk.

I've been a member of TLZone since 7 years ago, but that one is worldwide, but lots of local boys. It now boasts over 15,000 members and Good tech talk.

Surely any worldwide bike forums will have an SA section?
