hey all

ive just changed insurance companies from h2p (through the raa) to shannons.

now i need a little help and wanna know what you guys think,

the reason i have swaped is because h2p f****d me around a bit of recent. now i moved my april payment a couple more weeks so i would have all the money in there. now they took the money out on the 13th may when im dead sure they said the 15th may the reason why i am dead sure is because it was the day after i got paid so i knew the money would b in there.

now cause they took the money out on the 13th, there was obviosly no money in the account. the tried again to take out money on the 25 th may, once again no money was in there (i had nothing to give to them) so i got a letter saying that if i dont get in contact with them my insurance policy could be cancelled. so i did the right thing and called them. spoke to a girl (i didnt right down her name, my bad) and she said as long as the may payment came out on time i would have 2 weeks to sort out my april payment, awesome i thought MyBudget were about to take over my finances so i knew they would sort it out for me.

well a few days later i got a letter saying that my insurance had been cancelled as of 29th april. the letter was dated 30 may. so basically i was driving around with an uninsured car for a whole month. and didnt know. i called them to find out that i was 2 months in arrears apparantly which i knew was wrong cause the money had been put in on wednesday night and was in there straight away for the insurance to be taken out on the thursday (29 may).

i soon found out that they hadnt taken out the money for the may payment. yet i was being accused that i hadnt paid the may payment when they never took it out!!!!! ( found out a few days later)

so i ended up having to start a new policy with h2p, and told another payment would be needed in 7 days time (the one month in advance). HOWEVER i soon discovered that things were missing off my new policy, depsite the person i spoke to said she had printed off the old policy and copied everything onto the new policy. i couldnt understand how it went from 140 per month down to 113 per month. i soon found out.

i called up h2p yesterday, before end of business hours, and told them i wanted to cancel my policy with them, HOWEVER they still took out the 113 that was due today! ass holes! how do i get my money back asap???

i am no longer with h2p but now with shannons and they were awesome. they even have me as a rating one and everything on my car is covered.

so does anyone know what i can do about h2p? they stuffed me around a fair but im very very unhappy about the whole situation that happened cause it cause a large amount of distress.

i just need some help from anyone that might have been in the same situation!

You won't get your $113 back sorry

On the bright side, they're now installing a TV in their reception area for porn movies ...

... so you can watch someone else getting f**ked over, while you're getting f**ked over.

hahaha fsck reuben yr on a roll tonite mate

and yeah, i just changed to shannons last week, from justcar. $200 cheaper than justcar (thanks SLED for pointing out that discrepancy) and I pay by the month now. And all my mods are listed. Go shannons!

-D

yeah im 20 and $2120ish with Just car.

I was 28 and my Justcar insurance was $1733 for 12 month for the 89' GTR with light mods.

I'm now 29 and my Shannons insurance is $1540 for 12 months, same car but more mods (mostly cosmetic).

Didnt know that Justcar even insured people under 21. Always knew it was going to be very farking expensive for anyone under 25. Even then my r31 exec non turbo was around the $1200 mark with Justcar at the time...(when i was 24)

bahahahahahah you guys have obviously never dealt with consumer affairs there like a placid lesbian nothing gets done about your problem

Cara you would have more luck going in there with PMS symptoms and going OFF YA TREE at then wanting to speak to the MANAGER and go hard girl, let Reuben know when your going in he can take the video camera

if your really worried about it, call consumer affairs and speak to them. They will be able to tell u what you can do.

Hahaha placid lesbian. Oxymoron! and Im not talking about a bloke who cant use an arc welder..

-D

you forget lesbians hate men hence why if men go to CA nothing gets done but really nothing gets done no matter who goes in... unless you like smoke up your vrrrrt

Im guessing you've had previous dealings with said placid lesbians?

Yeh good luck with getting your money back......

Shannons are the bomb, I had my 33 insured with them and at the same time my Aristo, for both cars fully insured was about $200 a month, I rang them a week or 2 ago and canceled the insurance on the 33(as i no longer have it) and they even gave me a $200+ credit with them, so now the Aristo is like $100 a month with all mods..........

Dont know how you were paying $140 a month on a Atmo 34, you must have a bad history............

    • It still combines inches with mm, especially when you have .5 inches involved, and mm and inches that can go in either direction. This would give a clear idea on both sides of the rim, right away, with no arithmetic. Even better if somebody gives you the dimensions of the arch of multiple cars. i.e GTR may be 125mm, a A80 Supra may be 117mm, or something along those lines. Yes, you can 'know' that going from a 10in rim to a 10.5in rim with the same offset moves both sides about 6mm, but you still have to 'know' that and do the math. Often it's combined. People are going from 9.5 +27 to 10.5 +15. You may do the math to know it, but if it was going from (I had to go look it up to be sure) 241mm/2 - 27 - 93.5mm from the center line to (more math) 266/2 - 15 (118mm) from the center line. Versus 93mm vs 118mm. It's right there. If you know you have a GTT with 100mm guards you can see right away that one is close to flush and the other absolutely won't work. And when someone says "Oh the GTR is 120mm" suddenly you see that the 10.5 +15 is about perfect. (or you go and buy rims with approximately 118mm outward guard space) I think it's safe to say that given one of the most common questions in all modified cars is "How do offsets work" and "How do I know if wheels will fit on my car" that this would be much simpler... Of course, nothing will really change and nobody is going to remanufacture wheels and ditch inches and offset based on this conversation :p We'll all go "18x9+30 will line up pretty close to the guards for a R34 GTT (84mm)" but 'pretty close' is still not really defined (it is now!) and if you really care you still have go measure. Yes it depends on camber and height and dynamic movement, but so do all wheels no matter what you measure it for.
    • But offsets are simple numbers. 8" wheel? Call it 200mm, near enough. +35 offset? OK, so that means the hub face is that far out from the wheel centreline. Which is 2s of mental arithmetic to get to 65mm to outer edge and 135mm to inner. It's hardly any more effort for any other wheel width or offset. As I said, I just close my eyes and can see a picture of the wheel when given the width and offset. That wouldn't help me trust that a marginal fitment would actually go in and clear everything, any more than the supposedly simple numbers you're talking about. I dunno. Maybe I just automatically do numbers.
    • Sure! But you at least have simple numbers instead of 8.5 inches +/mm, relative to your current rims you do maths with as well, and/or compare with OEM diameter, which you also need to know/research/confirm..
