Hey,

Anyone had experience with operation of Mongoose M80 central locking option? I took my car to the mechanics yesterday and i believe that they have pressed the keyring fob buttons in some sequence to disable the central locking function.

The immobiliser still works the same, and the central locking works (if i use the key on the drivers door it drives the passenger door) but the remote central locking function does not.

does anyone know the code?

Jase

It looks like the central locking is working (if i use the key on the drivers side, the passenger side opens up) but the alarm is not sending a signal to the central locking unit.

anyone have any idea how these things are set up and what i shuold look for?

the M80 has on board central locking relay, there will be an actuator in the drivers door that is controled by the m80.

firstly i'd take the drivers door trim off and you should see either a set of blue and green wires of 5 wire system connecting to the actuator that pushes your locking arm forward and back make sure they are connected properly sometimes the window can pick up cable and disconnect. if all good then id disconnect the blue and green and use a test light and individualy test each wire for pulse while pushing the arm and disarm buttons. if no light when you do then then i'll tell you what next to do.

very rare for mongoose m60 or m80 to fault so id say it's the actuator but you can check the 2 10amp fuses on the m80 module aswell. there are 6 fuses in total wont hurt to check all but the central locking fuses are seperate to the main loom.

most the cars that come in with central locking problems have actuator problems, so let me know how you go or call me if you r having problems
