Hi Guys,

I know this is the wrong posting place, but I am not having any luck with my car for sale. I realise that these are not particularly 'in demand' cars, but surely someone wants a nice, genuine klm stag with service records from Japan and here ??

Sensible mods have been done, and I am open to any reasonable offer. Car has to go as have 3 cars in the driveway right now !!

I would also consider converting it back to basically stock and selling even cheaper if I can get buyers for some of the add-on parts.

For example, is there any interest in the following:

1. BOS Importing 3"split dump pipe and high flow 740cfm cat from forums - $500 for both

2. Apexi SAFC Neo and SITC computers - $500 for both

3. Full set of clear lights, including front bumper, side indicatior and rear (series 2) lights - $500 for whole set.

This would allow me to sell the car even cheaper, although I think the car is worth more with the parts on it and would prefer not to chop it all up.

Please help me find a new home for my car !!!! :banana:

Hi Stu,

Im very supprised that this is still for sale... When I was looking around I will admit I was very tempted to buy it and that was a good few months ago! The main reason i steered clear of it was becuase of the boost being raised. Im was aware it was only on 11 psi ect but still worried me and not sure if its been on that its entire life.

geez, i have run an aftermarket turbo on my R33 for over 7 years now with 191,000km on the clock with (obviously) higher than standard boost. compression is still good.

i think we all need to encourage new members to look at locally landed cars with plenty of fruit on them. nowadays they are almost certainly cheaper than importing once you factor in the modifications and tuning etc.

The car was stock as a rock from Japland, and even has all the Jap service stickers on it so I am very confident it was looked after over there. I have certainly looked after it here with service every 5000ks and replaced timing belt and water pump immediately on arrival. Imported it via J-Spec.

My dilemma is that I am an honest person, so I have listed all the mods on the car and where it is at. I truely believe that it is a much better car with the mods than when I got it. It has way more power, but more importantly more driveable. It is much more economical on fuel now too (at least 3L per hundred better) and would improve even more if put back to a lower boost. If I was keeping it I would have considered a dual stage boost controller for more economy.

In hindsight I probably would have been better putting back to standard and just pretending it was a stocker, but I think for the right person, they will appreciate the effort (and money) that has gone into it.

11psi is pretty tame and certainly well within the tuning limits of the car itself. I have specifically put parts in place to support much more than this level, as I believe in 'over-engineering' things. It has been left at that level to protect the turbo, due to ceramic turbines :banana:

Putting that aside, in the end though, I just want someone to please buy my car !!

ridiculous, but the arse has fallen out of the stagea market. 12k gets you a good S2.

you want a quick sale 10 would do it. surely.

but I know, its giving it away. crazy, hey

and THATS why when I bought an ex forum members car 3yrs ago I vowed itd be a 10yr owneership car.. one that had boost raised, been down the 1/4 mile, been in country for 9mnths yet done 25thou kms in that time,..... but yet was bargain of australia at that particular time. Dayz kit 76thou pod/exhaust/boost 17900 new tyres, everything else was 20k plus.

now prices are 12k for S2 and 10k for S1, plus compliance on road costs (say 12 / 15k on road for S1 / S2 landed from japan)

for a local it needs to be 2k less in price to be attractive.

just my view

very tasty tho for sure, try for 11k and see how you go????

I dunno, my fully worked modded Fireblade took over a year to sell. my VR V8 took 4months to sell & plenty of price drops after I got the stagea, just how it is.

Stu, I went up to the Coastie Meet @ Erina on Thursday night, and a few new people were asking me about my car. I mentioned that there was one (yours) for sale in the area, so you never know...

appreciate that, thanks. Are those the meets at the Carpark at fountain plaza (near erina fair) ?? I thought it was just skyline guys :happy:

Correct, Fountain Plaza it is.

Hey, you (or should I say we) are driving a wagon version of a Skyline, so you have nothing to worry about. There are others there in different cars anyway...

      So I've been working on the car a fair bit, doing a lot of little things.  Still making slight adjustments to my tune, as the cold weather settles in. I've also had to start dropping boost and tire pressure as the weather gets cooler. It's getting very swirly at highway speeds. I drop to 20psi at 20C and 18psi spring pressure at 10C IAT's. I'm currently on 255 Falcon RT660's, but may look into running 275's next summer. They will fit, but barely. Might have to raise the rear a tad.  I'll start redoing my exhaust Monday, as I have the week off. I currently have an oval center muffler and cannon rear muffler. I've been told more then once from people behind me that my rear bumper is going to catch on fire one day. Seems I blow 5-10 second flames after doing a pull. No clue if that's the WMI, as I've never been able to do that before with other cars. I wanted to angle my tip down a tad so flames are pointed down and away from bumper. I also wanted to take the opportunity to reconfigure my exhaust line. I'm going to move my oval muffler to the rear with a pie cut angled tip and put in a new smaller round muffler in the center. I've rocked cannon mufflers on this car for the last few years and want to transition back the oval muffler look. I've also been looking for a stainless project to try out the new solar flux I bought. I'll post pictures on Monday, should be able to wrap that up in a day.  I'm also picking up another rear subframe this week. I wanted a second so that I could modify one with a gk tech anti squat reduction kit during the winter, and still be able to keep the car a roller so I can back it out of the garage if needed. I will also be caging it this winter. More on that later. Lastly, Speedtek still hasn't given me diddly squat. Every week for the last 4 weeks, they have been saying next week. They told me Friday to expect a shipping label that day to ship my two bad sets of ring and pinions back and nothing. There's definitely been more contact since I started destroying their company any chance I get on Facebook, but it's still just words without action.

      i was thinking that the 2 wires that go to the sub from factory has some sort of preamp like you mentioned and also a lo Pass filter to get just bass. now that will only use 1 channel and that really should be all i need for a sub? if i was trying to put a set of speakers in the back i can understand cutting into the left and right speaker wires. i will try how im talking about doing it and if that is crap i will do it the way of all wires. thanks for the input guys.

      Challenging mig welding thin Aluminium pipe and trying to fit it in, having to bend and twist, but got there in the end. Fits really well and can easily get a socket wrench in there now to put it on/off. I'm in the middle of another project, so haven't installed the suction pipe yet. I'll post some pictures and results when i do.
