Evc Iii Boost Controller Install

Morning All,

Trying to self install a Hks evc 3 boost controller into a 32 GTR.

Downloaded the instructions, but they don't really understand them.

Anyone able to give me some tips or info that would help out?

I just read over the install guide for a EVC 4. What exactly are you having issues with?

Was having trouble with where all the vacumn hoses went, but got it all sorted out now

Just have to tune it

Ok so we installed it fine, the main unit is running fine but it won't control the boost.

Tried the learning mode, but I can't get near the redline as the boost rockets up. It hits 1.4bar before redline.

Mechy looked at it and said the unit was still using the stock boost solenoid, is it sposed to, or could that be causing the problem?

For a gtr which setting should be used, SW or PO? Mate who helped set it to PO.

The very first sentence of the freely available EVC IV setup guide I have here, says...

1) To Begin: On the back of the EVC unit is a switch marked "SW< >PO". If you have a single port swing valve internal type wastegate, select "SW" If you have a dual port, poppet or external type wastegate, select "PO"

Seems your mate is trying to sabotage your setup

I'll flip the switch, reset the unit and give it another run
