Hey guys,

Just after some sizes and prices for tyres to fit 18x9.5 wheels. I can't seem to find an average price; the lowest I've seen is $200 and the highest is $850 :D so I'd like to get a more definite price from someone who knows what they're talking about lol

I'd like something that matches the diameter of 235/45ZR17 since that's what I already have on my car. I did a bit of research and I think I'd be looking 265/35 or something similar, but I wouldn't really know..

Anyway, if they're too expensive, I'll just get the wheels I want in 17x9, but I can't really justify paying $2000 for 17s when I know 18s would look so much better :)

Edit: I'm looking at getting Gram Lights or Drifteks. Gram Lights in silver or Drifteks in gold. Thoughts?

If you're in Sydney, go to Tempe Tyres and get some Kumho KU31s. I got mine from there and I'd recommend the tyres and the dealer. They're pretty no nonsense and not all staff there are super friendly but they're good at what they do.

I got 255/35/18 on my 18x9.5s on the back for $190 each including fitting and balancing. Then 225/40/18 for the 18x8.5 on the front for $150 fitted. Good prices.

if your looking to match up the 235/45/17, 265/35/18 is perfect rolling diameter, if you want something a bit cheaper you can go 255/35/18 which is ok, just stay away from gutters!

I have some specials on these sizes you might be interestd in, check out my thread

Thanks to everyone for all the helpful info :) I guess I'll probably go for 265/35/18 since they're the perfect diameter to replace my wheels

R33AzzA, Are those wheels on a GTS or a GTR? If its a GTS, what offset are they? And did you have to make any modifications to the car to make them fit?

You're thinking of getting Gram Lights or Dickteks? A decent quality Japanese wheel compared to cheap Chinese shit that every wog and his dog has?

Get the Gram Lights, look way better but get them in 18", in that chart you linked in your first post the 17's come in no decent offsets...

The main reason I'm looking at the Drifteks is because I can get 18x9.5 +35 with a 4 stud pattern. The biggest I can get with the Grams is 18x8 +40, which will probably look like crap, so if I get the Grams, I'll probably get them in 17x9 +35

    • All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.
    • It is a two door. It is black and also still has the OEM wheels and stereo. Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant. Will try to upload a few pictures soon. The OEM wheels look like the below image. Image is taken from the goo-net-exchange website.

    • Welcome Gabriel. At least your car has a glorious RB and not the shitty CA18. As MBS206 mentioned all the good bits can be added later. Two doors or four?
    • And half of them have been converted to turbos.
